Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this face needlin’ thing, the fancy folks call it cosmetic acupuncture, somethin’ somethin’. Now, I ain’t no doctor, just tellin’ ya what I heard and seen.
So, this Brooke Taylor, she’s one of them folks doin’ the needlin’. She got into it ’cause she couldn’t sleep, poor thing. Went and got poked with them needles, and bam! Sleepin’ like a baby. That’s how she started, I reckon. Now she’s stickin’ needles in faces, tryin’ to make folks look younger.
What is it?
Well, it’s like this. They take them itty bitty needles, real thin, and stick ’em in your face. Not just anywhere, mind you. They got special spots, somethin’ to do with that Chinese medicine stuff. Heard tell it’s been around for ages, them Chinese know a thing or two.
What’s it supposed to do?
- Make your skin stretchy again. You know, like when you was young and your skin bounced back.
- Smooth out them lines. The ones around your eyes and mouth, make you look like a dried-up prune.
- Give your face a glow. Like you been out in the fresh air, not cooped up inside all day.
Now, I seen some pictures, before and after. Some folks, they look real different. Smoother, brighter, like they got a new face. But, you know, pictures can lie. Don’t always believe what you see.
Does it hurt?
Well, they say it might sting a bit, like a mosquito bite. And you might get a little bruise, or your face might get red. But, hey, no pain, no gain, right? At least, that’s what my grandma used to say.
