Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Eastpoint Entertainment Village place, down there in Dundonald. I ain’t been everywhere, mind you, but this place, it’s got a bit of somethin’ for everyone, young’uns and old codgers like me.
First off, they got this big cinema there, eleven screens they say. That’s a lot of movies, I reckon. Used to be, we just had the one picture show in town, and you saw what you got. Now, you got choices galore. Fancy that!
And the food, oh my! They got all sorts of places to eat. Heard tell of some fancy Japanese ramen place. Ramen? Don’t rightly know what that is, but sounds foreign. Must be good, though, with all them youngsters linin’ up. They got other places too, places with food I recognize, thank the Lord. You know, burgers and such.
- Movies at the 11-screen cinema
- Lots of different places to eat, even that fancy ramen stuff
- Funky Monkeys for the little ‘uns
Now, if you got grandkids, this place is a godsend. They got this Funky Monkeys place, an indoor soft play center. Kids go wild in there, burnin’ off all that energy. Keeps ’em out of your hair for a bit, that’s for sure. Opened up back in 2014, they did. Seems like yesterday.
It ain’t just for kids, though. They got stuff for grown-ups too. Entertainment and leisure, they call it. Don’t ask me exactly what all that entails, but I seen folks goin’ in and comin’ out lookin’ happy enough. Must be somethin’ to it.
It’s easy to find, too. Down there on Old Dundonald Road. They even got a Facebook page, EastpointEntertainment they call it. Them youngsters with their fancy phones, always on them things. Me? I prefer a good chinwag any day.
I heard tell it’s the best place for fun in Northern Ireland. Now, I ain’t been to every corner of Northern Ireland, mind you, but from what I’ve seen, this place is pretty lively. Always somethin’ goin’ on.
Location, location, location, that’s what they always say. And this place, it’s right handy. Close to a caravan park, they say, just a five minute walk. So, if you’re travelin’ through, it’s a good spot to stop and stretch your legs, maybe grab a bite to eat.
There’s even a place called General Merchants, not too far off. Heard they got good food there too. Folks on that Tripadvisor thing, they write all about it. Seems like a popular spot. Though, I don’t put much stock in them online reviews, myself. Prefer to trust my own two eyes.
So, if you find yourself in Dundonald, and you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do, head on down to Eastpoint Entertainment Village. Like I said, there’s somethin’ for everyone, even an old biddy like me. Just follow the signs, you can’t miss it. It’s right there by that roundabout, they say. And if you get lost, well, just ask someone. Folks are friendly enough ’round these parts.
It ain’t the fanciest place in the world, mind you, but it’s clean and it’s got a good atmosphere. And that’s what matters, right? A bit of fun, a bit of food, and a bit of company. That’s all a body needs, really.
And remember, it’s called Eastpoint Entertainment Village, down there on Old Dundonald Road. Don’t go mixin’ it up with somethin’ else now. You hear?
