Well, let me tell you a story, it’s about this fella, you know, got dragged into another world. Sounds crazy, right? Like them fairy tales my grandma used to tell, only this one’s got more fightin’ and… hospitals.
So, this fella, I think his name was… Kim, yeah, Kim Joo-won, that’s it. Poor fella, one minute he’s mindin’ his own business, next thing he knows, poof! He’s in some other place. Not like goin’ to the next town over, mind you. This was different, real different. Magic and monsters and all that jazz.

Anyways, this system thingy, whatever that is, it made him a hero. Can you believe it? A hero! Not like them fellas on TV, all muscles and fancy talk. This Kim guy, he was just regular, like you and me, probably. But he had to fight. Fight hard, for five long years! Against what, you ask? Well, a Demon King, of course! Big bad dude, probably had horns and a scary face. Just like the devil in the church picture, only real, I guess.
Five years, that’s a long time to be away from home. I bet he missed his ma’s cookin’ and his own bed. But he fought, that Kim did. He fought and he fought, and finally, he beat that Demon King. Yep, he won! The hero, just like they say in them stories. But here’s the kicker, the part that makes you scratch your head.
- He won, but something went wrong.
- That transport thingy, the one that brought him there? It broke.
- Shattered, kaput, gone.
So now, our hero, he’s stuck. Not in the Demon King’s dungeon, no sir. He’s in a hospital. Can you imagine? Fightin’ a war, savin’ the world, and then endin’ up in a hospital bed. Life’s funny that way, ain’t it? One minute you’re on top of the world, the next you’re eatin’ hospital food. And let me tell you, that ain’t no picnic.
I don’t know much about this other world, but I reckon hospitals ain’t much different anywhere. Smell like medicine and sadness, nurses rushin’ around, and doctors pokin’ ya with needles. Poor Kim, probably just wanted to go home. But that system thingy, it messed up real bad.
I heard tell there’s these things called “manga” and “manhwa,” picture books, I guess, that tell Kim’s story. People readin’ about his adventures, his fightin’, and now his… well, his hospital life. It’s a strange thing, ain’t it? Someone’s life, all laid out for everyone to see. Makes you wonder what they’d write about my life, if they ever did. Probably just a bunch of washin’ clothes and cookin’ supper, nothin’ too excitin’.
But Kim’s story, that’s different. It’s got action, adventure, and now… recovery, I guess. He went from hero to patient. From fightin’ monsters to takin’ medicine. It makes you think, don’t it? About what’s important. Maybe it ain’t all about winnin’ battles. Maybe sometimes it’s about just gettin’ better, one day at a time.

And that’s the story of the fella stuck in another world, stuck in a hospital. I don’t know how it ends, if he ever gets home, or if he just stays there, livin’ a quiet life, doctor visits and all. But it makes you think, don’t it? About how quickly things can change, how one minute you’re a hero, the next you’re just… a patient. Life’s a funny thing, that’s for sure.
Makes you appreciate the simple things, like a good cup of coffee and a warm bed. Things that Kim fella probably misses real bad. So next time you’re complainin’ about your aches and pains, remember that fella in the other world, stuck in that hospital. Makes your troubles seem a little bit smaller, don’t it?
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about it. Just a story I heard, about a hero and a hospital. Hope it made you think a little. Now, go on and live your life, be grateful for what you got, and try to stay out of hospitals, if you can.
