Well, let me tell ya, this whole “Life on the Breeding Committee” thing, it’s a real head-scratcher, ya know? I ain’t no fancy city slicker, just a plain ol’ person tryin’ to make sense of it all.
First off, they talk about this “Breeding Law.” Sounds mighty official, don’t it? Says they made it ’cause folks ain’t havin’ enough babies. Now, back in my day, we didn’t need no fancy law for that! But times change, I guess. They say it was a “drastic measure,” which I reckon means they were pretty darn desperate.
So, they go and make this “Breeding Committee.” And wouldn’t you know it? Some folks get “appointed” to be on it. Appointed, huh? Sounds like they didn’t get much of a say in the matter. I bet they just got told, “You’re on the committee, now get to work!” Makes you wonder what kind of work that is, don’t it?
They got this game, see? “Life on the Breeding Committee.” They want you to “unravel the mystery” behind this law. Mystery? Sounds like a whole lotta trouble to me. And they talk about “intriguing gameplay.” I ain’t played no video games in my life, but I reckon it means you gotta do stuff in the game to figure things out. Probably a lot of clicking and whatnot.
- First, they got this law.
- Then they got this committee.
- Then they made a game about it.
Now, they say somethin’ about “forced sexual intercourse” bein’ prohibited, even if you’re on this committee. Well, I should hope so! Common sense, ain’t it? And they say women got the right to choose their partners. As if they shouldn’t! Land sakes, who do they think they are, tellin’ folks who they gotta be with? They say you gotta use your “charm” and “stamina.” Charm I understand, but stamina? Sounds like hard work to me. Maybe they gotta chase after them fellers or somethin’.
They also talk about somethin’ called “UI translation.” Says some volunteer checked it. UI? I ain’t got a clue what that means. But I guess it’s important, ’cause they don’t want nothin’ “hinderin’ your experience.” Experience doin’ what? Playin’ the game, I guess. And they say the “patch” is easy to apply. Patch? Like a patch on a pair of overalls? Maybe it means fixin’ somethin’ that’s broken in the game.
I saw somewhere it said this thing is an “SLG.” More letters I don’t understand. And it’s got a “piece length” of 262144. What in the Sam Hill does that mean? Sounds like a whole lotta somethin’. Maybe it’s how long the game is, or how many words they got, or somethin’. I tell ya, these city folks and their fancy words! They could just say what they mean, plain and simple, like I do.
So, from what I can gather, this “Life on the Breeding Committee” is about a world where folks ain’t havin’ enough babies, so they made a law and a committee to deal with it. And then they made a game about it, so you can pretend you’re on the committee and figure out what’s goin’ on. Sounds complicated, if you ask me. But I guess some folks find this kinda stuff entertainin’. Me? I’d rather be out in the garden, tendin’ to my tomatoes. At least you know what you’re gettin’ with tomatoes.
Seems like this whole thing is about controllin’ folks, tellin’ them who to be with and when to have babies. I ain’t never liked nobody tellin’ me what to do, and I don’t reckon anybody else does either. Maybe that’s the real “mystery” they talkin’ about – why folks think they got the right to boss other folks around. It’s a question as old as time, I reckon, and ain’t no game gonna give you the answer.
Anyway, that’s my take on this “Life on the Breeding Committee” thing. Probably missed some of them fancy details, but I got the gist of it. And let me tell you, it ain’t nothin’ I’d want any part of. Give me a good book and a cup of tea any day.
