Well, ain’t that somethin’, “luxury glamping northern california” they say. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like them city folks comin’ up with new ways to spend their money. Luxury, that means it’s gonna cost ya, right? Glampin’, well, that’s just campin’ with extra stuff. So, this is about spendin’ big bucks to sleep outside, but not really roughin’ it.
Northern California, eh? I hear tell it’s real pretty up there. Big trees, they say. Sequoia trees, taller than a church steeple. And deserts too, Joshua Tree desert. How can you have big trees and deserts in the same place? Guess it’s a big state, lots of different things. This fancy glampin’ must be tucked away in all them pretty places.
They say you can visit fancy places, like the San Francisco Bay, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite Valley. Never been, but seen pictures. Lots of water in them places, lakes and such. Guess that’s nice if you like swimmin’ and boat ridin’. Probably good fishin’ too, if you’re into that.
They talk about bookin’ a glampin’ spot. Like bookin’ a room at a hotel, I reckon. $87 a night, they say. That’s a lot of money just to sleep in a tent! Though, I guess it ain’t just any tent. They say these tents have beds, fancy beds, with plush beddin’. Probably got them puffy pillows too, the ones that make your neck hurt. And bathrooms! In a tent? Imagine that. They got heat and air conditionin’ too. So, it’s like a little house in a tent.
- Fancy beds

They say glampin’ is real popular in France. Across the ocean, that is. Folks flyin’ in, they don’t wanna pack tents and such. So they pay extra to have it all set up for them. Makes sense, I guess. If you got the money, why not? They want the sunshine, the outdoors, but without all the fuss. Spoiled, I say. But hey, it’s their money.
Glamourous campin’, they call it. Upscale campin’. It ain’t just a tent and a sleepin’ bag. No sir, it’s more than that. Camper vans, RVs, the whole shebang. Refrigerators with freezers, even. Why you need a freezer when you’re campin’, I don’t know. But they got it. Everything you need, right there in your fancy tent.
Magic wilderness atmosphere, they say. I guess that means it’s pretty. Nature and all that. But you’re payin’ a heap to experience it in style. Comforts of home, they say. But ain’t the point of campin’ to get away from home? To rough it a bit, sleep on the ground, cook over a fire? Guess folks these days don’t like gettin’ dirty. They want their nature clean and tidy, like a picture postcard.
So, luxury glamping northern california. It’s campin’ for folks with fat wallets. Pretty places, fancy tents, all the comforts you can think of. If you got the money, go for it. But me, I’ll stick to my old tent and my campfire. That’s nature enough for me.
