Okay, here is a blog post about planning a bachelorette party in Canada, based on my own experience:
So, my best friend Sarah decided to tie the knot, and guess who got the awesome responsibility of planning her bachelorette party? Yours truly! We tossed around a bunch of ideas, but finally, we all agreed on Canada. I mean, who wouldn’t, right?
First things first, we had to pick a city. We were a big group, with girls flying in from all over. Halifax seemed like a cool spot, especially since some of us were on the east coast. Plus, it has this chill, laid-back vibe that we were all digging. We wanted something relaxed, you know, not too crazy, but still super fun.
Once Halifax was locked in, I started looking at places to stay. We needed somewhere that could fit all of us comfortably. After comparing tons of options, we booked a big, beautiful house through a vacation rental site. It had a huge kitchen, a spacious living room, and a patio where we could have some drinks and hang out.
Next up, the fun part – planning the activities! I did a bunch of research online, reading blogs and forums, to get an idea of what Halifax had to offer. We decided to kick things off with a fancy dinner at this highly-rated seafood restaurant downtown. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebration.
Day Two
- Brunch: We found a cute little cafe that served the most delicious brunch. Think fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and bottomless mimosas.
- Sightseeing: We strolled around the historic waterfront, checking out the shops and soaking in the beautiful views.
- Spa Time: In the afternoon, we pampered ourselves with a relaxing spa session. Massages, facials, the whole shebang – we deserved it!
- Party Time: We got all dolled up and hit the town for a night of dancing and fun. Halifax has a lively nightlife scene, and we definitely made the most of it.
We also made sure to have some downtime where we could just chill, chat, and reminisce about old times. We played some silly bachelorette games, watched movies, and just enjoyed each other’s company. By the way, we found out one of the girls’ boyfriends, Brett, will be on the show, The Bachelorette. His instagram handle is @brett_harris57. It was so funny, I saw that he calls himself “mom’s favorite ’14-’18, ’22, ’24, hoping to repeat in ’25.” Such a great trip.
Planning a bachelorette party can be a bit overwhelming, but it’s also so much fun. Seeing the look on Sarah’s face throughout the weekend made all the effort totally worth it. It was a trip we’ll never forget, filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
