Okay, so I decided to take a trip to the Isle of Mull, and let me tell you, finding a place to stay was the first thing on my mind. I’d heard about this place called Carnaburg Guest House in Tobermory, right on the main street. I did a bit of digging, and it turns out it’s one of those colorful houses you see in pictures – pretty cool, huh?
First, I wanted to know what I was getting myself into. This place is old, like, 200 years old, and it used to be a fisherman’s cottage. It’s right there on the harbor, overlooking Calve Island. I gotta say, the location sounded perfect. I mean, who wouldn’t want to wake up to a view like that?
So, I looked up some reviews online. There were tons of them! It seemed like a popular spot. People were sharing their photos, and the place looked cozy and welcoming. I started to get excited about staying there. It had free parking, Wi-Fi which is a must these days, and it’s smoke-free. Plus, there’s a TV and heating – all the essentials, you know?
I decided to book it. Booking was pretty smooth, no issues there. When I finally arrived at Carnaburg Guest House, I was not disappointed. Seeing those colorful houses in person was quite something. The guest house itself was just as charming as it looked in the pictures.
The whole experience was great. I got to explore Tobermory, enjoyed the views, and had a comfortable place to rest my head at night. Carnaburg Guest House definitely added to the charm of my Isle of Mull trip. I could see why it has so many good reviews. The old building had a certain character, and being right on the harbor made it extra special.
What I loved:
- The location: Right on the harbor, with a view of Calve Island. Can’t beat that!
- The history: Staying in a 200-year-old fisherman’s cottage? Come on, that’s just cool.
- The charm: It’s one of those iconic colorful houses, which made the whole experience feel more authentic.
- The amenities: Free parking, Wi-Fi, TV, heating – everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
If you’re planning a trip to the Isle of Mull, and you’re looking for a unique and cozy place to stay, I’d definitely recommend checking out Carnaburg Guest House. It’s a piece of history, with a great location and all the comforts you need. It really made my trip memorable.
