Okay, here is my sharing today, and I hope you guys find it helpful.
So, I was reading this bible passage the other day, John 6:35, where Jesus says, “I am the bread of life.” And I got to thinking, what does that really mean?
I started digging around, trying to make sense of it. I mean, it’s a pretty bold statement, right? Jesus is basically saying if you come to him, you’ll never be hungry or thirsty again, spiritually speaking. That’s huge!
So, I did a little research, trying to unpack this whole “bread of life” thing. I found out that it’s not just about physical food. It’s about something deeper. It’s about finding that true satisfaction and fulfillment in life that only Jesus can give.
What I did
- Read John 6:35 – I started by just reading the verse over and over again, trying to get a feel for it.
- Looked up some commentaries – I wanted to see what other people thought about this verse, so I checked out some different perspectives online.
- Prayed about it – This was probably the most important step. I just asked God to help me understand what Jesus was saying here.
- Reflected on my own life – I thought about times when I felt empty or unfulfilled, and how those times compared to when I felt close to God.
After all that, I felt like I finally started to get it. It’s like, when you have Jesus in your life, he fills you up in a way that nothing else can. He’s the one who truly satisfies your soul.
It’s not always easy, though. There are times when I still feel lost or empty. But then I remember this verse, and I remember that Jesus is there, ready to fill me up again. He is really the bread of life to me, if I just trust in him and pursue him.
So yeah, that’s what I’ve been thinking about lately. It’s been a good reminder for me to keep seeking Jesus and to let him be the one who truly satisfies me.
