Alright, let’s talk about this Nars makeup stuff, is it vegan or not? I heard some folks sayin’ it is, some sayin’ it ain’t. Confusin’ as heck, I tell ya. So, I did some diggin’, you know, like pokin’ around in the garden but with my phone, and here’s what I found.
First off, it ain’t all sunshine and roses, that’s for sure. Seems like some of them Nars things got stuff in ’em that comes from animals. Lanolin, they call it. Sounds fancy, but it’s just sheep grease, if you ask me. Like, why they gotta put sheep grease in lipstick? Makes no sense to me.
- They got some things that might not have that sheep grease or other animal stuff, yeah.
- But even then, hold your horses, ’cause Nars, they ain’t what you call “cruelty-free.”
- That means they still test on animals sometimes, when the law makes ’em. Don’t like that one bit. Poor little critters.
So, you might find a lipstick or somethin’ that don’t got no animal parts in it, but then they went and tested it on some bunny rabbit or somethin’. What’s the point then? It’s like makin’ a cake without eggs but then throwin’ it at the wall. Wasteful and mean, that’s what it is.
Now, some folks say, “Oh, but it’s got a vegan formula!” Well, that might be true for some of their things, like maybe a face cream or somethin’. But if they’re still testin’ on animals, it kinda defeats the whole purpose, don’t it? It’s like sayin’ you’re a good person but then kickin’ a stray dog.
I seen some other makeup brands, they braggin’ about bein’ “clean” and “green” and “cruelty-free.” Good for them, I say. They usin’ plant stuff and not hurtin’ no animals. That’s the way it should be, if you ask me. Why we gotta be puttin’ animal gunk on our faces and makin’ them suffer? We got plenty of plants and other things to use.
I tell you what, this whole thing is a mess. They should make it easier for folks to know what’s what. Labels should be big and clear, like “Made with sheep grease!” or “Tested on bunnies!” Then we could all make up our own minds without havin’ to do all this research. I ain’t got time for that, I got chickens to feed and weeds to pull.
So, back to the question, is Nars vegan? I’d say, not really. Some things might be, some things might not be, but they ain’t cruelty-free, and that’s a big problem for me. I want my makeup to be pretty, but I don’t want no animals to get hurt for it.
There’s plenty of other makeup out there that don’t hurt no animals. Maybe we should all just stick to that stuff. It ain’t worth it, torturing animals just to look a little prettier. Pretty is as pretty does, my grandma always said. And torturing animals ain’t pretty, no matter how you slice it.
I hope that makes some sense. It’s a lot of fuss over lipstick and powder, if you ask me. But I guess some folks care about this stuff. Me, I just want somethin’ that makes me look a little less like I been diggin’ in the dirt all day. But I sure don’t want no animals sufferin’ for it.
So, there you have it. Nars ain’t vegan, not really. They got some stuff with animal parts, and they test on animals. If you care about that sort of thing, and I think you should, then maybe look for somethin’ else. There’s plenty of good stuff out there that’s kind to animals. And that’s what really matters, ain’t it?
Anyways, I gotta go feed them chickens now. They’re squawkin’ up a storm. You take care now, and remember, be kind to them critters. They ain’t done nothin’ to you.
