Alright, let’s talk about this “Dubl Life” thing, whatever it is. Sounds fancy, but I’ll tell ya, it’s probably just somethin’ simple made complicated by them city folks.
Now, from what I gather, Dubl Life seems to be about bags, yeah, bags! Like the ones you use to carry stuff from the store, or maybe pack a lunch for your grandkid. They got all sorts of sizes, it seems. Some small ones, like for, I dunno, puttin’ silverware in? They say “2.75 x 10”. What’s that even mean? Inches, I guess. Back in my day, we just had big bags and small bags, none of this fancy numbers.
Then there’s these other bags, bigger ones. They say “6 x 3 5/8 x 11 1/16”. For groceries, they say. Well, that makes sense. You gotta have somethin’ strong to hold all them potatoes and onions. And they got even bigger ones, “12 x 7 x 17 inches”. Must be for, like, really big shopping trips, or maybe carryin’ blankets or somethin’.
- Little bags for forks and spoons.
- Medium bags for your food from the store.
- Big bags for lots of stuff, like when you go shoppin’ for the whole week.
Now, they keep sayin’ somethin’ about “Duro” and “Husky”. Sounds like names of dogs to me! But I guess they make these bags. And they’re proud of ‘em, talkin’ ’bout “heavy-duty” and “25 lb.”. That means they can hold a lot of weight, I reckon. Like, you could probably stuff a whole chicken in there, and it wouldn’t break. Not that I’d do that, mind you. Waste of a good chicken.
And this “kraft” they keep mentionin’? That’s just the paper, I think. The brown paper. Good, strong paper. Not like that flimsy plastic stuff that tears the minute you put somethin’ heavy in it. This kraft paper, it holds up. It’s reliable, you see. Like a good ol’ workhorse.
Oh, and they’re goin’ on and on about “recycled paper”. Sayin’ “60% post-consumer recycled paper” and even “100%”. Well, that sounds good, I guess. Means they ain’t cuttin’ down as many trees, right? We gotta take care of the trees, they give us air to breathe. And shade in the summer. Can’t be wastin’ trees on bags if we don’t have to.
They also say these bags have a “flat bottom”. Well, of course, they do! How else would they stand up? You don’t want your groceries spillin’ all over the place, do ya? A flat bottom is important, keeps things steady. Like a good foundation for a house, or strong legs on a table.
So, this Dubl Life, it’s just about strong bags, it seems. Bags made of recycled paper, in different sizes, for different things. They’re practical, that’s what they are. Not fancy, nothin’ special, just good, reliable bags. And that’s important, you know? You don’t need all that fancy stuff. You just need somethin’ that works, somethin’ that lasts. Somethin’ you can depend on.
Seems like these Dubl Life bags, they’re tryin’ to be all things to all people. Little bags, big bags, strong bags, eco-friendly bags. Well, good for them, I say. As long as they hold my groceries, I ain’t complainin’.
And all this talk about “product life cycle” and “sustainability impact”? Hogwash, if you ask me. Just make a good bag, and folks will use it. That’s all there is to it. Don’t need to make it complicated.
So there you have it, my take on this Dubl Life thing. Bags. Just bags. But good ones, it seems. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper.
