This here, I tell you, it ain’t rocket science, this gift wrapping thing. But you wanna make it look nice, right? Like you put some thought into it. So, I’m gonna tell you how I do it, and maybe you’ll get some ideas. You need some stuff first.
First thing, you gotta get some paper. That wrapping paper, you know? They got all kinds at the store. Shiny ones, ones with pictures, plain ones. Just pick one you like. And get some of that sticky tape. Clear tape is best, don’t get that cloudy kind. Nobody wants to see that mess.

Now, I like them ribbons. Ribbons make everything fancy. Red, blue, gold, whatever you like. Makes it look like you really tried, even if you didn’t. And maybe some of them little bows you can stick on. They’re easy, just peel and stick. Some of the cosmetics are small, so you need small boxes.
- Wrapping paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- Ribbons
- Bows (optional, but they are nice)
- Gift tags (optional)
- Boxes
So, you got your cosmetics, right? Let’s say it’s one of them lipstick things. First, you gotta put it in a box if it ain’t already in one. Just a plain little box is fine. Then, you lay out your paper. Make sure the box is in the middle. Now, this is the tricky part, so listen up.
You gotta fold that paper over the box. Like you’re tucking it into bed, I reckon. Fold one side over, then the other. Make sure it’s tight, but not so tight you rip the paper. Then you tape it down. I usually put a piece of tape in the middle, then one on each end. Cosmetics as a gift is good for your friends.
Now, the ends of the box. You gotta fold them in too. Like you’re making little triangles, I guess. Fold the top down, then the sides in, then the bottom up. Tape it all down good. It should look like a nice little package. If you want to wrap makeup as gift, this is the way.
Then comes the fun part. The ribbon! Wrap that ribbon around the box. I usually go around once longways, then once sideways. Then you tie a knot. Now, if you’re fancy, you can tie a bow. Me, I just tie a knot and stick one of them pre-made bows on top. Easy peasy. You can also put some flowers on it. Just cut them short and tie them together. Then put them on the box with ribbon.
And there you have it! A wrapped present! It ain’t hard, but it looks nice. You can do this with all sorts of things. Them little bottles of lotion, them eye shadow things, whatever. Just make sure you got the right size box. Gift wrapping cosmetics are easy if you follow these steps.
Now, if it’s something funny shaped, like one of them big brushes, that’s a little harder. You might need a bigger box, or you can just wrap the paper around it like a tube, I guess. Just make sure you tape it good so it don’t fall out. You can also put the brush with other small things in a big box. That will be a big surprise!
The important thing is to have fun with it. Don’t worry if it ain’t perfect. It’s the thought that counts, right? And if you put a little effort in, people will appreciate it. Wrapping cosmetics can be easy and fun. You see, anyone can learn how to wrap cosmetics as gift. I don’t have a college degree, and I can do it. So you can do it too!
Oh, and another thing. You can add one of them little cards. You know, the ones that say “To” and “From”. That makes it a good gift. Or you can make your own card. Write a little somethin’ on it. People like that. It shows you care.
Sometimes I put a little piece of candy in there too. Just a little somethin’ extra. You know, like a little surprise. Wrap the cosmetics and candy together in a big box. People will like this!
So there you go. That’s how I wrap gifts. It ain’t fancy, but it gets the job done. And it makes people happy. And that’s what matters, right? Wrapping a gift is not hard, especially cosmetics. Just follow my tips and you will be fine.
Now go on and wrap somethin’ up! Make someone’s day! It is easy to learn how to wrap a gift. And don’t forget the ribbon! And the tape! You need the tape! And if you want to make it real nice, get them little bows. They really make a difference, I tell ya.
