Alright, let’s gab about this Thrive Cosmetics, eh? Folks keep askin’, “Is it one of them MLM thingamajigs?” You know, like them pyramid schemes where you gotta rope in your neighbors and their cousins to make a buck? Well, lemme tell ya what I’ve heard and what I reckon.
First off, this gal, Karissa Bodnar, she started this whole shebang back in 2015. She calls it “vegan” and “direct-to-consumer,” which I guess means they ain’t testin’ on bunnies and you can buy it straight from them, not some middleman. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But fancy don’t always mean it’s one of them MLMs.
Now, they say they use all sorts of “clean” and “sustainable” stuff in their makeup. Karissa, she claims they got a whole list of no-no chemicals, more than 2,000 of ’em! Things like parabens and sulfates, whatever those are. And they make all their stuff right here in the USA, and they don’t go hurting no animals doing it. That’s good, I reckon. Nobody wants to smear somethin’ on their face that’s been tested on some poor little critter.
But here’s the real question: do you gotta go around buggin’ your friends to sell this stuff? From what I hear, no, you don’t. Lots of folks say it ain’t no MLM at all. They say it’s just a regular company, like them places that sell shoes or clothes, you know? You buy what you want, and that’s it. No quotas, no pressure to recruit nobody.
And get this, they give away a whole heap of makeup to folks who need it. I heard they donate piles of it to women’s shelters and stuff. That’s right charitable, I say. They ain’t just tryin’ to line their own pockets; they’re tryin’ to do some good in the world too. They say for every thing you buy they give something back to help folks out. Sounds like a good deal, if you ask me.
- They ain’t testin’ on animals.
- They use “clean” ingredients.
- They donate to charities.
Now, some folks get confused ’cause there’s talk about “members” and “commissions,” but that don’t necessarily mean it’s an MLM. Lots of companies have rewards programs and ways to earn discounts, you know? But I heard that someone somewhere tried to sue them, said they were doing something wrong. Heck, people sue each other all the time over nothin’ much, I guess the courts will sort that out.
And you can even find this Thrive stuff at them big stores like Ulta. Now, last I checked, MLMs don’t usually sell their stuff in them fancy stores. They’re usually peddlin’ it out of their garages or at them home parties. So, that’s a pretty good sign it ain’t no MLM, right?
So, here’s the deal as I see it. Thrive Cosmetics seems like a decent company that makes decent makeup and tries to do some good in the world. They ain’t perfect, maybe, but who is? And most important, they don’t seem to be one of them pesky MLMs where you gotta harass your family and friends to make a buck. You just buy what you want, and that’s the end of it. Simple as that.
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. I’m just tellin’ you what I’ve heard and what I reckon makes sense. If you’re still worried about it, you can always do your own research, ask around, see what other folks say. But from where I’m sittin’, Thrive Cosmetics looks alright. They’re selling makeup and helping people, and that’s good enough for me.
So there you have it. My two cents on this Thrive Cosmetics thing. Hope it helps you make up your own mind. And remember, don’t let nobody pressure you into buyin’ somethin’ you don’t want or need. Your money, your choice.
