Okay, so I recently had a bit of a dilemma when planning my next cruise vacation. I was torn between two of Royal Caribbean’s giants: Liberty of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas. Both sounded amazing, but I really wanted to make sure I picked the right one for me and my family. It was a real head-scratcher!

That means more staff for every guest, which usually translates to better service, right? They also have one more free restaurant than Liberty of the Seas, and four more hot tubs. Who doesn’t love a good hot tub? I also learned that Symphony of the Seas has some unique features that make it different from other ships in the Oasis class.
I also saw some folks talking about the staterooms. Someone mentioned they always prefer the starboard side of the ship because, most of the time, you get a view of the dock or the city. That’s a nice little tip! I kept that in mind when I started looking at the deck plans.
I spent hours pouring over deck plans and cabin layouts. I was particularly interested in the two-bedroom aqua theater star class room on Symphony of the Seas. It sounded super luxurious, but I had to weigh that against what Liberty of the Seas had to offer. Liberty’s rating was 4.2 out of 5, based on reviews from almost 4,000 people, so that’s pretty good!
