Well, hello there! Let me tell ya somethin’ about this Life Christian Academy basketball. You know, them youngsters, they runnin’ and jumpin’ all over the place with that there ball.
The Eagles, that’s what they call ’em. Heard they got a boys’ team, a varsity one at that. And girls too, I reckon, though they didn’t say much about them in what I heard. Anyways, these Eagles, they playin’ basketball. Games and such.
Now, I don’t know much about this “schedule” thing they talk about. Sounds fancy. But from what I gather, it’s like a list of when they playin’. Like, “Oh, they gonna be throwin’ that ball on Friday, November 22nd, 2024.” See? That’s the schedule. Tells ya when to go watch ’em run around.
They got this here “roster” too. That’s just a fancy word for a list of who’s playin’. Like, “Little Johnny’s on the team, and so is Big Susie.” That kinda thing. It’s good to know who’s who, I guess, so you can holler their names when they do somethin’ good.
- Games: They play a bunch of games, seems like. Don’t ask me how many, I ain’t countin’. But they runnin’ and jumpin’ a lot, that’s for sure.
- Teams: They got different teams, like the “Boys Varsity” they keep talkin’ about. Sounds important. Maybe they the best ones? Who knows.
- Rankings: Folks like to rank these teams, see who’s better than who. Kinda like judgin’ chickens at the county fair, I guess. But with more runnin’ and less cluckin’.
This Life Christian Academy, they ain’t just about basketball, mind you. They got other stuff too. Baseball, softball, football… even “track,” whatever that is. Sounds like they keep them young’uns busy. Probably keeps ’em outta trouble, which ain’t a bad thing.
Heard tell they got some kinda motto or somethin’. Somethin’ about “eagles” and flyin’ and not gettin’ tired. Sounds nice, I guess. But these kids, they sure do look tired after them games. Runnin’ around like that’ll do it to ya, you know?
They got this “news” thing too. About the games, I reckon. Who won, who lost, who scored the most points. Folks like to keep track of that stuff. Me? I just like watchin’ ’em run. Reminds me of when I was young and could chase a chicken across the yard without gettin’ winded.
Now, some folks call ’em the “Eagles,” but I heard someone call ’em the “Lions” too. Maybe they got two teams? Or maybe folks just can’t make up their minds. Either way, they playin’ basketball, and that’s what matters.
So, if you wanna see some youngsters runnin’ and jumpin’, go watch these Life Christian Academy kids play basketball. They’ll keep ya entertained, that’s for sure. And who knows, maybe you’ll even figure out what all this “schedule” and “roster” talk is about. Me? I’m just gonna sit here and watch ’em play. It’s more fun than chasin’ chickens, that’s for sure, especially at my age. And these young’uns, they got more energy than a flea on a hot skillet!
