Well, let me tell you somethin’ ’bout that St George’s Hotel in London. Heard folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the market. They say it’s a fancy place, right in the middle of that big ol’ city. You know, I ain’t never been to London myself, but I hear it’s somethin’ else. Lots of people, lots of noise, not like our quiet little town, that’s for sure.
This here hotel, they call it St George’s. Now, I reckon it’s named after some saint or somethin’. Saints are important, you know. They do good deeds and help folks. Maybe this hotel helps folks too, gives ’em a place to lay their heads after a long day of lookin’ at all them city sights. I bet there’s a lot to see in London. Big buildings, fancy stores, all that stuff. People probably get tired walkin’ around all day.
And that price tag? Whew! Saw some numbers, and it ain’t cheap, I tell ya. They say it was one price, then it got cheaper. Sounds like a sale to me! Everyone loves a good sale. Maybe it was $152 and now it’s $110. That is a good deal. Still a lot of money, though. You could buy a whole lot of potatoes for that kind of money. Or maybe a new dress, even. But hey, if you got the money, and you wanna stay in a fancy place, then I guess that’s your business.
They say this hotel has somethin’ called “Wi-Fi”. Now, I don’t rightly know what that is, but it sounds important. Young folks are always talkin’ ’bout it. Must be somethin’ to do with them phones they carry around. Free Wi-Fi is good I guess. Folks like free stuff. Maybe you can use it to talk to your family back home, tell ’em all about your trip to London. If you have family. Or friends. If you don’t, you can still stay there, I reckon.

Maybe feed the birds if they got any. I like birds. We got lots of birds here. Singin’ all day long. Except when it rains. Then they’re quiet. Like me when I got a cold. Quiet as a mouse.
This St. George’s place, I also hear it is in Wembley. Heard someone say it’s a “vibrant” place. Whatever that means. Must be a good thing, though. People seem to like it. And the hotel is “modern.” I guess that means it’s new, or has new-fangled things in it. Not like my old house. It’s been standin’ for years. Solid as a rock, that house. Just like this hotel, maybe. Hope so, anyway, for that price!
Folks who been there, they write about it. They call it reviews. Like tellin’ stories, but you write ’em down. They say the hotel’s ranked, like in a contest. I guess St George’s Hotel is in London, England. Never been to England, either. They talk funny over there, I hear. But I bet they’re nice folks, just the same. Everyone’s nice, mostly. Except for old man Johnson down the road. He’s always grumblin’.
You can see pictures of it, too, they say. “Candid photos,” they call ’em. That means real pictures, not the ones all fixed up and fancy. Just regular pictures of the hotel. Probably shows the rooms, the beds, all that. I reckon the beds are comfy. For that price, they better be! You want a good night’s sleep when you’re travelin’. ‘Specially in a big city like London. The hotel might have some deals. You know like discounts. I love a good discount! Everyone loves a good discount.
They say it’s a family-run place. That means a family owns it and works there. That’s nice. Like our little store in town. The whole family helps out. Keeps ’em busy. And it’s good to have family around. Especially when you are old. They can bring good service. Important when you are travelin’. Bein’ treated nice. Makes you feel good.
So, if you’re goin’ to London, and you’re lookin’ for a place to stay, you might wanna check out this St George’s Hotel. It has all you need. Sounds like a decent place. Just remember to bring your wallet! You will need lots of money. And maybe learn a few of them fancy London words before you go. So you can talk to the folks there. Might even wanna see if there are other hotels in London, though. Just in case.
