Alright, so you wanna know about them Vale Rink photos, huh? Lemme tell ya, it’s a fancy place, way up high, like them birds fly. They call it rooftop dining, or somethin’ like that. Sounds like somethin’ them city folks dream up. But hey, the pictures, them pictures are somethin’ else.
I seen some pictures, you know, online. Them young’uns are always showin’ me things on their little shiny boxes. And them Vale Rink pictures, they’re all bright and shiny. Lots of lights, like a Christmas tree exploded. And there’s this ice rink, right there on the roof! Can you believe it? Ice on top of a building! Must be colder than a well-digger’s butt up there.
The pictures show folks skatin’ around, laughin’ and havin’ a good time. They’re all bundled up, lookin’ like little marshmallows. And you can see the city all around them, all them tall buildings and lights. It’s like bein’ on top of the world, I reckon. I tell ya, it’s a sight to see, even just in a picture. I can only imagine what it’s like up there in person. Probably makes your head spin a bit, like when you get up too fast from milkin’ the cows.
I heard tell it’s in Brooklyn, that’s a city place, right? The William Vale, they call it. Sounds like a rich fella’s name. And they say this is the third year they’ve done this ice rink thing. Third year! Must be popular, huh? All them city folks linin’ up to skate on the roof. I bet they charge an arm and a leg for it too. Nothin’ up there is cheap, I’m sure.
- They got food up there too, they say. Fancy food, not like my good ol’ chicken and dumplings. But hey, to each their own, I always say.
- And the views, oh the views! The pictures don’t even do it justice, I bet. You can see everything from up there, all the way to, well, I don’t know where, but it’s far, I tell ya. Like lookin’ out over a field of stars, but instead of stars, it’s city lights.
- They open it up in December, just in time for the cold weather. Makes sense, I guess. Can’t have an ice rink when it’s hot as a furnace outside.
Them Vale Rink photos really make you think. Here we are, down here on the ground, workin’ our fingers to the bone, and up there, they’re skatin’ on a rooftop, eatin’ fancy food, and lookin’ at the pretty lights. It’s a whole different world up there, I tell ya. But you know what? Sometimes it’s nice to see a little bit of that different world, even if it’s just in a picture. Reminds you there’s more to life than just chores and feedin’ chickens.
And let me tell you, takin’ pictures up there must be tricky. Gotta get the angle just right, ya know? And the lightin’. It’s all dark outside, except for them city lights, so you gotta be real careful. But them photographers, they know what they’re doin’. They capture all the magic, all the sparkle. Makes you wanna go up there yourself, even if you can barely stand up on skates.
So, if you ever get a chance to see them Vale Rink photos, take a look. They might not be pictures of my chickens or my garden, but they’re somethin’ special, that’s for sure. They show you a little bit of a different life, a life up in the clouds, where the air is cold and the views are outta this world. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll even make it up there myself, though I’d probably fall flat on my face on that ice! But until then, I’ll just stick to lookin’ at them pretty pictures.
Vale Rink, a place way up high, where city lights shine bright and folks skate on ice, a real sight to behold, even just in a picture. Makes an old woman like me dream of a world beyond the farm, a world of sparkle and shine. And that’s all I gotta say about that.
The William Vale, fancy name, fancy place. Makes you wonder what else they got up there on that roof. Maybe a swimming pool in the summer? Who knows with them city folks. They’re always comin’ up with somethin’ new and different.
