Alright, alright, let’s talk about them movies, the ones that get you all… you know… in the mood. I ain’t no fancy film critic, mind you. I just watch what I watch and I know what makes me feel… things. So, if you’re lookin’ for some flicks to, uh, spice things up a bit, listen up.
First off, we got these lovey-dovey ones. They ain’t all mushy and boring, though. Some of ‘em got some real heat, you know? Like that one… The Photograph, I think it was called. Had that Issa Rae in it, she’s a pretty thing. And that fella, LaKeith somethin’-somethin’. They were all lookin’ at each other all dreamy-like and then… well, you get the picture. It’s the kind of movie that makes you wanna hold hands and maybe… somethin’ more.
- It ain’t all just kissing and huggin’, mind you. There’s that tension, you know? Like they just can’t wait to get a hold of each other.
- That’s what gets you goin’, that anticipation. Makes you feel all fluttery inside.
Then there’s those… uh… how do I put it? Those real steamy ones. The ones they slap that “R” rating on. I saw one of them the other day, After We Collided. Mercy! Them young folks were at it like rabbits! Don’t let the kids watch that one, no sir. But if you’re grown and you wanna see some… action… well, that’ll do the trick. It’s got all sorts of drama, too. Fights and arguments and then… well, you know. They make up real good.
But listen here, you gotta be careful. They got them ratings for a reason. That “18” rating? That means it ain’t for kids. Not at all. Don’t go showin’ that stuff to no young’uns. It ain’t right. Them movies got stuff in ‘em that… well, they ain’t ready for. It’ll mess with their heads. You gotta protect the little ones, you hear?
Now, some folks like them old-timey movies, black and white and all that. I ain’t got nothin’ against them, but they ain’t really my cup of tea when it comes to gettin’… frisky. They’re more about the romance, you know? The slow burn. Which is fine, I guess, but sometimes you want a little more… sizzle. You know what I mean?
And then there are those… foreign films. Can’t understand a word they’re sayin’ half the time, but sometimes you don’t need words, if you catch my drift. They got them passionate looks and them… well, let’s just say they ain’t shy. But you gotta be careful with them too, some of ‘em are real artsy-fartsy and you end up more confused than… well, you know. You want somethin’ that gets straight to the point, am I right?
So, let’s see… we got the romantic ones like The Photograph, the steamy ones like After We Collided, and then a whole bunch of others. It all depends on what you’re lookin’ for, really. You want somethin’ sweet? Somethin’ hot? Somethin’ in between? There’s a movie for everyone, I reckon.
Just remember, keep them “18” movies away from the kids. And don’t go expectin’ no movie to solve all your problems. They’re just movies, for cryin’ out loud. But sometimes, they can help you… connect. You know? Make you feel closer to someone. And sometimes, that’s all you need. So go on, find yourself a movie, snuggle up on the couch, and… well, you know the rest.
And don’t forget the popcorn! Can’t watch a movie without popcorn, that’s just plain wrong. And maybe a little somethin’ sweet, too. Chocolate, maybe? Or some of them gummy bears. Just don’t spill it all over the couch, that’s a pain to clean up. And speaking of cleanin’ up, make sure you turn the TV off when you’re done. Don’t want to waste all that electricity, now do we? Money don’t grow on trees, you know.
Anyway, that’s my two cents on the whole movie situation. Hope it helps you find somethin’ to… enjoy. And remember, be safe and have fun. That’s what life’s all about, ain’t it?
