Okay, so I wanted to share my little adventure today with my GMC’s rear entertainment system. I was messing around with it, trying to see if I could get some more apps on there.
First, I started by doing some digging around online. I found some interesting tidbits, like how there’s apparently some space under the second-row seat, and the power outlet there should be able to handle some extra devices.
Then, I dove into my car’s system to see what I could do from the inside. I played around with the settings, trying to figure out how to personalize the whole setup and get access to more than just the usual music and contacts.
- I checked out the built-in app store, but it was pretty limited.
- I looked for ways to connect my phone and maybe mirror some apps, but no luck there.
- I even considered trying to hook up a separate device under the seat, but I wasn’t sure how to get it to display on the rear screens.
Here’s what I tried:
Honestly, I didn’t have much success. It seems like the system is pretty locked down. I managed to personalize the existing features a bit, but adding new apps seems like a whole different ball game. Maybe I need to do some more serious research or find someone who’s a real pro at this kind of thing.
Anyway, that’s my story for today. I learned some things about my GMC’s system, but I’m still on the hunt for a way to get more apps on those rear screens. If any of you have cracked this, please let me know!
