So, I was on a mission today. I wanted to find out if Sephora carries MAC Cosmetics. You know, MAC, that super popular makeup brand? Yeah, that one. I’ve always been curious about this, and today, I decided to get to the bottom of it.
First, I took a trip to my local Sephora. I walked in, took a good look around, and started my search. I checked every aisle, every shelf, hoping to spot that iconic black packaging of MAC. But, alas, nothing. No MAC lipsticks, no foundations, not even a single eyeshadow.
My Investigation
- Visited Sephora: I physically went to a Sephora store.
- Searched thoroughly: I looked everywhere in the store.
- Asked an employee: I finally asked a staff member for help.
Feeling a bit defeated, I approached one of the Sephora employees. I asked her straight up, “Hey, do you guys sell MAC here?” She shook her head and said, “No, we don’t carry MAC.” She explained that Sephora has its own set of brands, and MAC just isn’t one of them.
Then I did what any curious person would do – I got on my phone and Googled it. I found out some interesting stuff. Apparently, MAC is owned by Estée Lauder and they sell it in over 120 countries. It also turns out that Sephora and a brand called Makeup Forever are both owned by this big company called LVMH. And guess what? Makeup Forever is kind of a rival to MAC. Makes sense why they wouldn’t sell it at Sephora, right?
I also learned that Sephora and MAC have totally different vibes. Sephora is all bright and colorful, while MAC stores are more on the darker, edgier side. Plus, it seems like Sephora is a bit pricier than MAC.
So, there you have it. My little adventure confirmed that Sephora does not sell MAC Cosmetics. It’s a bummer, but hey, at least now I know. If you’re looking for MAC, you’ll have to go to one of their own stores or maybe check out a department store. Mystery solved!
