Okay, here is my sharing about “glamping northern ca” :
So, I decided to try this “glamping” thing – yeah, it’s like camping but way fancier. I picked a spot in Northern California, close to the Yuba River, because why not? It was in Nevada County, just so you know.

I found this place online, they have many yurts. I booked it, it was around 100 bucks a night. It was like a little adventure, but with a comfy bed. Glamping is basically camping for people who don’t want to sleep on the ground. It combines comfort and nature. It is really an unforgettable experience.
- Getting There: I drove up from the city, took a few hours. The drive was pretty, lots of trees and hills.
- Checking In: Rolled up to this yurt, it looked like a big, round tent. Way nicer than any tent I’ve ever seen, to be honest. The person who ran the place showed me around.
- Inside the Yurt: Okay, this was the cool part. There was a real bed, not a sleeping bag on the floor. There were some simple furniture also. They even had some electricity, so I could charge my phone.
- Exploring Around: I spent the afternoon walking around the area. The Yuba River was close by, so I went to check it out. There were some trails, too. I’m not a big hiker, but it was nice to walk around in nature.
- Dinner Time: I brought some food with me. They had a little cooking area, so I made myself a simple dinner. Way better than eating cold beans from a can!
- Starry Night: This is why you go out to these places, right? The stars were amazing. No city lights to mess it up. I just sat outside and looked up for a while.
- Sleeping In: The bed was super comfy. I slept like a rock. Way better than a regular camping trip, where I always wake up sore.
The Downside?
Honestly, it felt a bit like cheating at camping. You have all these nice things, so it’s not really “roughing it.” It felt like being close to nature but not fully in it. I missed the real experience of nature.
Checking Out: Packed up my stuff, said bye to the yurt people, and drove back home. Easy peasy.
So, that was my glamping adventure. It was fun, relaxing, and definitely comfortable. If you like the idea of camping but hate the idea of being uncomfortable, you’ll love it. Would I do it again? Maybe. It’s a nice little escape from the city once in a while.
