Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with this thing called the “Tree of Life” tarot spread. I’d heard about it here and there, and it sounded pretty cool, all about how different parts of your life are connected and stuff. So, I figured, why not give it a shot?
Getting Started
First off, I grabbed my tarot deck. I’ve got this one deck that I really vibe with, so I made sure to use that one. Then, I found a quiet spot in my house where I could chill out and not be bothered. It’s important to have a good space, you know? Makes the whole experience better.

Shuffling and Laying Out the Cards
I started by shuffling the cards. I’m not super strict about how I shuffle, but I do try to focus on my intention, which was basically just to see what this Tree of Life thing had to say about my life right now. Then, I laid out the cards according to the spread. It’s got ten positions, each representing a different aspect, like your hopes, your fears, your relationships, that kind of thing.
- Position 1: This one’s about your roots, your foundation.
- Position 2: Your driving force, what motivates you.
- Position 3: Your intellect, how you think and process things.
- Position 4: Your emotions and feelings.
- Position 5: Your will and determination.
- Position 6: This is the heart of it all, your core being.
- Position 7: Your relationships, how you interact with others.
- Position 8: Your challenges and obstacles.
- Position 9: Your hopes and aspirations.
- Position 10: The outcome, where things are headed.
Interpreting the Cards
Once I had all the cards laid out, I took a deep breath and just looked at them for a while. I tried not to overthink it, just let the images and symbols speak to me. Then, I started going through each position, one by one. I jotted down some notes about what each card might mean in that particular spot. It was kind of like a puzzle, figuring out how each card related to the others and to my life.
Reflecting on the Reading
After I went through all the positions, I sat back and reflected on the whole reading. It was pretty eye-opening, to be honest. Some things really resonated with me, like the card in the relationships position – it totally nailed a dynamic I’ve been dealing with lately. And the outcome card was encouraging, gave me a little hope for the future. It’s also easy for me to understand the meaning of the cards. I was not puzzled at all.
Wrapping Up
Overall, doing this Tree of Life tarot spread was a really cool experience. It gave me some new insights into myself and my life, and it was just a fun way to spend an afternoon. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re into tarot or just curious about exploring your life in a different way. I’ll probably do this spread again sometime, maybe in a few months, to see how things have changed.
