Okay, so this morning I was feeling ambitious and decided to tackle the crossword. Usually, I just stare at it for a few minutes, get frustrated, and then move on with my day. But today, I was determined to make some progress!
Getting Started
I grabbed a pen (important, no erasing!), and dug in. At first, it was the usual struggle. Lots of blank spaces, a few “gimmes” that I filled in quickly, and a whole lot of head-scratching.

- I started with the shorter words, the three and four-letter ones. That’s always my strategy.
- Then, I looked for any obvious fill-in-the-blanks, like “_ _ N D O N” for “LONDON”.
- I kept bouncing around, trying to get a foothold anywhere I could.
Making Some Headway
After a bit, I started to see some patterns. One word would give me a letter or two for a crossing word, and that would help me figure out another one. It’s like a little puzzle chain reaction.
I have to admit, I did resort to a little help. Ok, maybe more than a little. Sometimes I get stuck, and searched the net. But hey, it’s all part of the process, right?.
The Final Stretch
The last few words were the toughest. I was down to just a handful of empty squares, but they were all interconnected, so if I got one wrong, it would mess up everything else. It’s super stressful!
Finally, after much deliberation, I filled in the last word. I actually did the whole crossword. I felt like a champion. I slammed my hand down on the desk and shouted YESSSSS!
