Alright, so the other day I was totally bummed because I finished “Bloodline” on Netflix. Seriously, that show had me hooked! The family drama, the secrets, the Florida Keys setting… everything was just perfect. So, naturally, I needed something else to fill that void. I started digging around, looking for shows that gave me the same vibe. Here’s how my search went down:
First Steps: Asking Around and Hitting Up Google
First, I asked my friends. You know, the usual “Hey, you watched ‘Bloodline,’ right? What else is like that?” I got a few suggestions, but nothing really clicked. So, I turned to the trusty old internet. I just started Googling stuff like “shows similar to Bloodline,” “family drama TV shows,” “shows with dark secrets,” and things like that.

Diving into Forums and Recommendation Lists
This led me down a rabbit hole of online forums and “best of” lists. I spent a good chunk of time reading through Reddit threads and checking out those list articles on websites. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. There are so many shows out there!
- I found a couple of recurring suggestions. “Ozark” kept popping up, which I’d heard of but never watched.
- Then, “The Affair” and “Damages”.
Trying Out a Few Shows (and Discarding Some)
So, I decided to give a few of these recommendations a shot. I started with “Ozark” because it seemed to be the most popular suggestion. I watched a couple episodes, and honestly, it was pretty good and dark. I got about the money laundering and the intensity of the situations.
Next, I tried “The Affair.” I’d heard good things about it, but I wasn’t immediately hooked. It felt a bit slower, and while the premise was interesting (exploring an affair from different perspectives), it didn’t grab me the way “Bloodline” did.
Finding a Few Gems
I’m still working my way through some other suggestions, but “Ozark” is definitely scratching that “Bloodline” itch for now. It’s got the family drama, the secrets, and the constant feeling that everything is about to fall apart. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s close enough to keep me entertained!
So, my search Continues.
