Okay, so I’ve been trying to find some new online stores, something similar to New York & Company because I really like their style, but, you know, variety is the spice of life and all that.
Digging Around
I started by, well, just plain old searching. I typed in things like “stores similar to New York and Company” and “clothing brands like New York and Company.” I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through the search results, clicking on anything that looked remotely promising.
Filtering the Results
I quickly realized that I needed a better system. I made a list on my phone to organize everything. My process was like this:
- Visit the website. Obvious, right? I had to actually see what the store had to offer.
- Check the style. I was looking for that kind of polished, work-appropriate-but-still-stylish vibe. Did the clothes look similar to what I’d find at New York & Company?
- Look at the price range. Was it wildly more expensive? I needed something in a similar price bracket.
- Add to List. The stores with styles and prices similar I will add them to my list to prevent me from losing them.
Finally I got my results
After a few days of comparison, I finally selected a few stores that best fit my style and budget!
