Okay, so I saw this cool thing online – a magnetic purse hanger. You know, for keeping your bag off the floor at restaurants and stuff. I thought, “I can totally make that!” So, I decided to give it a shot.
Gathering My Supplies
First things first, I needed to round up some materials. I already had a bunch of strong little magnets from a previous project. Then, I needed something to attach the magnets to. I looked all over my home and found a very beautiful button and an old broken necklace.

- Strong magnets (the neodymium kind, super strong!)
- A base Big, flat button
- Nice Hook Broken necklace
- Super glue (the heavy-duty stuff)
Putting It All Together
I found the center of my big button.
Next, I glued that broken neclace to the back of the button. I made sure to use a generous amount of glue so it would be super secure. I let that dry for a good while – patience is key, people!
After make sure the neclace was firmly attached to the button, I start to glued my magnets on it.
The Test Run
Time for the moment of truth! I took my newly crafted purse hanger to my kitchen table. I carefully placed the button part on top of the table and let my purse hang from the hook underneath. And guess what? It worked! My bag was hanging perfectly, not touching the floor. Success!
Final Thoughts
This little DIY project was surprisingly easy and super satisfying. It’s such a simple thing, but it feels good to have made something useful with my own two hands. Plus, my purse is staying cleaner now – win-win! If you’re looking for a quick and practical project, I definitely recommend giving this a try.
