Okay, so yesterday I decided to get into the fall spirit and check out this local pumpkin patch I’d heard about. The big draw? They also have fresh, homemade donuts. I mean, who can resist that combo, right?
Getting Started
First things first, I looked up the pumpkin patch online to get the address and hours. I made sure they were open, ’cause nothing’s worse than driving all the way somewhere and finding out it’s closed. They were good to go, so I hopped in my car.

The Pumpkin Patch Adventure
When I got there, it was packed! Families everywhere, kids running around, the whole deal. I grabbed a wheelbarrow – optimistic, I know – and headed into the fields.
- The pumpkins were all shapes and sizes. Some were tiny, some were HUGE.
- I spent a good hour just wandering around, picking up different pumpkins, checking them out.
- It was surprisingly hard work! I definitely didn’t need a gym workout after that.
Finally chose two perfectly imperfect medium-size pumpkins. One to curve and the other one just for decoration.
Donut Time!
Okay, now for the best part – the donuts! I followed the smell of cinnamon and sugar to this little stand they had set up. They had a bunch of different flavors, but I went with the classic cinnamon sugar and a pumpkin spice one, just to keep with the theme, you know?
I found a nice hay bale to sit on and dug in. Oh. My. Goodness. These donuts were warm, soft, and just the right amount of sweet. The cinnamon sugar one was amazing, but the pumpkin spice one? Seriously, the best donut I’ve had in ages. It was the perfect way to finish a nice experience.
Wrapping Up
Finally, I loaded my pumpkins into the car, already thinking about how I was going to carve them. All in all, a pretty successful day. I got my fall vibes, my pumpkin fix, and most importantly, my donut fix. Highly recommend checking out a pumpkin patch/donut combo if you get the chance!
