Okay, so, I’ve always been a huge Ed Sheeran fan. Like, HUGE. “Shape of You” was basically my anthem for a solid year. So, I decided, “I’m gonna get this guy’s autograph.” Easier said than done, right?
First, I scoured the internet. I mean, I went deep. Fan forums, event pages, you name it. I was looking for any upcoming appearances – book signings, concerts, even just rumored coffee shop visits (hey, you never know!).

My Plan of Attack
I found out he had a concert coming up in a city about three hours away. Bingo! This was my chance. I bought a ticket faster than you can say “Thinking Out Loud.” Then came the real strategy.
- Step 1: Get there early. Like, really early. I’m talking sunrise early.
- Step 2: Find a good spot. Near the stage door? Maybe near where the tour buses park? Gotta think like a paparazzo (but, you know, a nice one).
- Step 3: Be prepared. Sharpie? Check. Something for him to sign? Double-check. I decided on a vinyl copy of his “+” album – classic.
The Big Day
The day of the concert, I was a bundle of nerves. I drove those three hours, fueled by coffee and pure adrenaline. I got to the venue, and it was already buzzing with people. I found a spot near what I hoped was the backstage entrance and waited. And waited. And waited some more.
Hours went by. My feet were killing me. I was starting to doubt my entire life plan. But then… a black SUV pulled up. The crowd surged forward. And there he was. Ed Sheeran, in the flesh!
I held up my album and Sharpie, trying to look as non-threatening as possible. He was walking by, signing things, smiling. And then… he stopped right in front of me. He took my album, signed it with a quick “Cheers!”, and moved on.
I think I blacked out for a second. I just stood there, clutching my signed album like it was the Holy Grail. It was quick, it was chaotic, but I did it. I got Ed Sheeran’s autograph!
So yeah, that’s my story. It took planning, patience, and maybe a little bit of luck. But totally worth it. Now, that “+” album is framed and hanging on my wall – a permanent reminder of that crazy day.
