Okay, so I’ve been wanting to personalize my laptop for a while now. I saw this super cute “beach life” decal online and thought, “Yes! That’s the vibe I need.” So, I finally decided to go for it. Here’s how the whole thing went down.
Finding the Perfect Decal
First, I spent like, an hour just browsing online. There were SO many options! Palm trees, waves, sunsets… you name it. I finally found one I loved – a simple design with the words “beach life” and a little wave underneath. Cute and not too flashy.

Prepping the Surface
Next up, I had to get my laptop ready. I grabbed a microfiber cloth and some rubbing alcohol. I wiped down the area where I wanted the decal to go, making sure it was super clean and free of any dust or oil. Gotta make sure it sticks properly, you know?
Applying the Decal (The Tricky Part!)
This was the moment of truth. I carefully peeled off the backing of the decal, trying not to touch the sticky part too much. Then, I slowly positioned it on my laptop, using the edge of a credit card to smooth out any bubbles as I went. It was a little tricky to get it perfectly straight, but I took my time and managed to get it right.
- Carefully peel off the back paper.
- Try to make sure the postion is just right.
- Smooth it from the center to avoid the bubbles.
Admiring My Handiwork
Once the decal was on and all the bubbles were gone, I peeled off the top transfer tape. And there it was! My laptop, now officially beach-ified. I’m seriously obsessed with how it turned out. It’s such a small thing, but it makes me happy every time I see it.
Overall, this was a super easy and fun little project. Totally worth the effort! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go dream of sandy beaches and ocean breezes…
