Okay, so I wanted to find some good hikes with swimming spots nearby. Here’s how I went about it:
First, I opened up my phone and fired up the all trails app. I was hopefull that it will have something I am looking for

I typed “hikes with swimming near me” into the search bar. I figured that was the most straightforward way to get what I wanted.
I waited… and waited… and my phone’s reception cut out mid-search. I cursed under my breath because my search results were not showing, I was not happy.
So then I started again when my connection was back, I refreshed the search and finally got some options. Phew!
The Hunt Begins
- I scrolled through a bunch of listings, looking at the pictures and descriptions. Some looked promising, others… not so much.
- I paid close attention to the difficulty ratings. I’m not exactly in peak physical condition, so I needed something manageable.
- I also checked the reviews to see if people mentioned anything about the swimming areas. Were they crowded? Clean? Worth the trek?
After a bit of searching, I narrowed it down to a couple of trails that seemed like a good fit. One had a waterfall that looked amazing in the photos, and the other mentioned a secluded swimming hole.
Making the Choice
I weighed the pros and cons of each. The waterfall trail was a bit longer and steeper, but the payoff seemed bigger. The swimming hole trail was shorter and easier, but might be more crowded.
Finally, I decided on the waterfall trail. I figured I could handle a little extra challenge for the chance to swim under a waterfall. It sounded too good to pass up!

So, I packed my bag with a towel, swimsuit, snacks, and plenty of water. I’m planning to go this weekend, and I’m super excited about it! I’ll let you know how it goes. Hopefully, the waterfall is as awesome as it looks in the pictures.
