Okay, so I’ve been seeing “boho winter outfits” all over my feed lately, and I was like, “I gotta try this.” I love the boho vibe, but I wasn’t sure how to make it work for the cold weather. So, I decided to document my whole process. Here’s how it went down:
First, I did a ton of looking.
I looked at pictures online, just trying to get some ideas. I wanted something cozy but still cute, you know?

Then I start raiding my closet.
I pulled out everything I owned that could possibly be considered boho. Think flowy dresses, oversized sweaters, anything with fringe or embroidery. I even found an old scarf my grandma gave me that I thought might work.
Time to start mixing and matching.
- I tried a long, floral-print dress with a chunky knit cardigan. It was okay, but a little too summery, even with the sweater.
- Next, I paired some wide-leg corduroy pants with a fitted turtleneck and a long, patterned vest. This was definitely warmer, and the textures felt more wintery.
- I Added boots!
- I experimented with layering. I put a thin, long-sleeved shirt under a sleeveless dress and then added a big, cozy scarf. This felt promising!
Adding the Finishing Touches
I played around with accessories. I added a wide-brimmed hat, some layered necklaces, and a couple of chunky rings. I even tried a belt to cinch in the waist of one of the dresses.
Final Outfit
After a lot of trying things on and swapping things out, I finally landed on an outfit I loved. It was the wide-leg cords, the turtleneck, the patterned vest, plus the hat, necklaces, and boots. It felt very “me,” and it was actually warm enough for a chilly day!
I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! I think the key is to layer, play with textures, and don’t be afraid to accessorize. It’s all about creating that effortless, relaxed vibe, even when it’s freezing outside.
