Okay, so I’ve been itching for a little getaway, and with November being, you know, November, I figured the East Coast would be perfect. Less crowded, maybe a little chilly, but totally charming. Here’s how I went about planning and what I ended up doing.
Brainstorming and Picking a Spot
First, I started by just thinking about what I wanted. Beach? Mountains? City vibes? I considered a bunch of places. I looked up some popular spots, nothing too crazy, just general ideas.

I finally decided on a coastal town. Seemed like the best of both worlds – I could get some fresh air and maybe even see some fall colors.
Digging into the Details
Once I had the general area, I dove into specifics. I checked out some local tourism websites. I read some reviews, really basic stuff, to get a feel for the place. I also made sure to keep an eye on any travel tips.
Making it Happen The Booking!
With my plan in place I booked everything.I used various websites to book.
- I found a cozy-looking place that looked like it had great sunrises.
I also booked my Transportation.
The Trip Itself My Experience
The drive was beautiful! The leaves were all sorts of shades of red and orange. I stopped at a few scenic overlooks along the way – totally worth it. I just threw my stuff in the back and hit the road.

When I got to the town, I checked into my rental. Then, I just wandered around. I walked along the beach, grabbed some local seafood (so good!), and just generally soaked up the atmosphere.
I even managed to catch a few sunrises. Seriously, the pictures don’t do it justice.
Wrapping Up
Honestly, it was just what I needed. A few days away, no crazy crowds, and some beautiful scenery. I came back feeling refreshed and ready to tackle, well, everything. It wasn’t anything super fancy, but it was perfect.
