Okay, so I’ve been seeing all these gorgeous fall foliage pictures online, and I was itching to get out of the city for a bit. I decided to finally take the plunge and plan a day trip. It wasn’t super elaborate, but it was exactly what I needed. Here’s how it all went down.
The Prep Work (Super Minimal)
First, I grabbed my camera and charged it up. You know, gotta capture those autumn colors!

I threw on some comfy shoes that were okay for walking.
The Journey
To make things even easier, I used public transport.
- Took the train out of the city.
- It took about an hour, maybe a little more.
The Main Event
Once I got there, it was pretty straightforward. I just started walking! The air was crisp, that perfect fall chill.
I spent a good few hours just wandering around, snapping photos of anything that caught my eye.The colors were amazing – bright reds, oranges, yellows… you name it.
I found a cozy little spot, had packed myself a sandwich and drink, and eat while enjoying the view.
Heading Back
After a few hours, I was feeling pretty tired (in a good way!), so I headed back to the station and caught the train back to the city. Got back just in time for dinner, feeling totally refreshed.

Honestly, it wasn’t some grand adventure, but it was the perfect little escape. Sometimes you just need to get out of your usual routine, you know? And fall is definitely the time to do it.
