Okay, so I decided to check out some beaches on Lake Erie in Ohio. I’d heard good things, and summer’s the perfect time, right?
Planning the Trip
First, I did a little digging online. Just a quick search for “best Lake Erie beaches Ohio” to see what popped up. I found a few lists and articles, nothing fancy. I was mostly looking for places that weren’t too far of a drive.

Hitting the Road
I packed a cooler with some drinks and snacks, grabbed my beach towel and sunscreen, and hit the road. It was a pretty easy drive, mostly highway.
Checking Out the Beaches
- My first stop was this one spot. I parked the car. It was pretty crowded, lots of families. The sand was okay, kinda rocky in some places. I walked around a bit, dipped my toes in the water – it was surprisingly warm!
- Next, I drove to another beach nearby. This one was smaller, and way less crowded. I liked that better. I spread out my towel and just relaxed for a while, listening to the waves. That peaceful.
- I am so glad to get off those beachs.
Heading Home
After a few hours, I was starting to get hungry, so I packed up my stuff and headed back. Overall, it was a fun day trip. Nothing spectacular, but a nice way to spend a summer day. Would I go back? Yeah, probably. Maybe I’d try a different beach next time, just to see what else is out there.
