Okay, so I’ve been wanting to combine these things for a while: comfrey, chocolate, and a super comfy outdoor lounge chair. It sounds weird, I know, but trust me, it’s gonna be awesome. It all started when I was looking at my garden and thinking, “I need a better place to chill out here.”
First, I got this old chaise lounge. It was pretty beat up, but the frame was solid. I cleaned it up, sanded down the rough spots, and gave it a fresh coat of paint – a nice, earthy brown to match the whole garden vibe.

Making the Cushions
- Next, I focused on making some super comfy cushions. I found some old, thick foam and cut it to fit the chaise.
- I wanted something durable and weather-resistant, so I went with this outdoor fabric that had a chocolate-brown color. It’s perfect!
- I sewed the covers, which, let me tell you, took forever. I’m not the best at sewing, but I got it done.
While I was working, I was tending my little pots of comfrey. It needed some water.
Putting It All Together
Once the cushions were done, I put them on the chaise. It already looked a million times better. But I wanted something extra, so I decided to add some pockets to the sides. Perfect for holding a book, my phone, and, of course, some snacks(chocolate!).
I placed the chaise in my garden, right next to my comfrey patch. The comfrey has these big, beautiful leaves, and it just creates this perfect, relaxing backdrop. I have my chocolate bar and I grabbed a drink, settled into the chaise, and… bliss. Seriously, it’s the perfect little escape. The combination of the comfy chaise, the chocolate, and the calming presence of the comfrey – it’s exactly what I needed.
It took a bit of work, but totally worth it. I highly recommend trying something like this if you’re looking to create a relaxing little corner in your outdoor space.
