Why do I wanna work for that Wells Fargo, you ask? Well, let me tell you, it ain’t just any old place. It’s a big ol’ bank, been around forever, my old man used to say. And they got money, lots of it. I ain’t never seen so much money in my whole life! That’s why I want that job, see?
They say Wells Fargo is a good place to work. Now, I heard some folks say different things. But mostly, I heard good. My neighbor’s boy, he worked there once. Said they treated him real good. Gave him a good wage, too. Not like some other places ’round here. He was able to buy himself a brand new truck after working there a while! He was happy with his job, that boy was, always smiling.

I need a job, you see. Need to make some money. My grandkids, they need new shoes. And the roof, it leaks when it rains. Gotta fix that roof. A job at Wells Fargo, that’d help. They pay good, I hear. Enough for shoes and roofs and maybe even a little somethin’ extra for myself.
I ain’t no fancy city slicker. I just work hard. Always have. Get up early, work all day. Don’t complain. Just do the job. That’s what they need at Wells Fargo, I reckon. Hard workers. Folks who ain’t afraid to get their hands dirty. I ain’t afraid of hard work. Never have been, never will be. I can count money real good, too. Always could.
They got those fancy machines now, though. Count the money for you. Still, gotta know how to use ’em. I can learn. I ain’t dumb. Just old, that’s all. But my mind’s still good. I can learn new things. Just gotta show me how. If they give me the job at Wells Fargo, they will find I’m the best worker they ever had. I work hard and I’m happy to do it, too.
I see them Wells Fargo folks, they all dressed nice. Clean clothes. Look important. I can dress nice, too. Got my Sunday best. Wear that to the interview. Make a good impression. Show ’em I mean business. Show ’em I’m serious about this job. I really need this job, too. This ain’t no game I’m playing. I need to support my family.
And they help people, that Wells Fargo. Help people with their money. That’s important. People need help. I like to help people. Makes me feel good. Makes me feel like I’m doin’ somethin’ worthwhile. It ain’t all about money, you see. It’s about people, too. Helpin’ people, that’s what matters.
Here is what I know ’bout that Wells Fargo:

- They’re big.
- They got lots of money.
- They help people.
- They pay good.
- They need hard workers.
So that’s why I wanna work for Wells Fargo. It’s a good place. A place where I can make a good livin’. A place where I can help people. A place where I can use my skills. And a place where I can be proud to work. That’s all I want. Just a good job at a good place. I think that’s what everyone wants, ain’t it? A good, steady job.
I heard they got all them job interview questions. Tough ones. Gotta be ready. Gotta know what to say. My neighbor’s boy, he told me some of ’em. Said they ask you why you wanna work there. Well, I just told you why. Plain and simple. No need for fancy words. I told them everything I just told you, I think they would give me the job for sure.
They might ask what you’re good at. Well, I’m good at workin’ hard. Good at countin’. Good at helpin’ people. That’s what I’ll tell ’em in the job interview. That’s all they need to know. I ain’t got no fancy degrees or nothin’. Just a good work ethic. That’s what they call it, right? Work ethic. I got that. Plenty of it. I’m always on time, too. Never late. My old man, he taught me that. Said, “If you gonna do somethin’, do it right. And be on time.”
Some folks, they don’t like Wells Fargo. Say they did some bad things. I don’t know about all that. Every place got its problems, I reckon. But they still a big bank. Still helpin’ people. And they still hirin’. That’s all I care about. Gotta focus on the good. Can’t be dwellin’ on the bad. There is bad everywhere, but there is also good. That’s what my old man used to say.
So, I’m gonna go to that job interview. I’m gonna wear my Sunday best. I’m gonna tell ’em what I told you. And I’m gonna hope for the best. That’s all you can do, right? Hope for the best. And work hard. If I get that job at Wells Fargo, I’ll be the happiest woman alive. I’ll be able to take care of my family real good. That’s all I want.
I sure hope they give me that job. I really do. I ain’t gettin’ any younger, you know. This might be my last chance. Gotta make it count. Gotta show ’em what I’m made of. Gotta show ’em I’m the right person for the job. I know I am. I just gotta make them see it, too. I know I can do this job. I just know it.
