Okay, so I’ve been getting into this whole “early American” vibe lately. You know, the old-timey stuff, like colonial homes and antique furniture. And there’s this magazine called “Early American Life” that I’ve been seeing around. I finally decided to give it a shot, so here’s what went down.
First, I tried to find out what I could do to subscribe to the magazine. I thought maybe the official website could help me, but what’s funny was that the website was down. It said something about “unforeseen circumstances” and didn’t give any more details, so I moved on to my next method.

So, no website. Bummer. But I wasn’t giving up that easily. I tried calling them up directly. The number I found was 800-446-1696. Luckily I could reach them, and a friendly guy on the phone helped me out, and set up a subscription for me.
Then I started digging around to see what this magazine is all about. Turns out, it’s been around since 1970! That’s a long time. And it’s not just about pretty houses. They cover all sorts of stuff like traditions, style, and even architecture from back in the day. I also found out it’s located in Ohio. I found some other interesting stuff about the magazine, like how the Christmas issue was filled with DIY projects and the like. It’s cool to see how they do things differently, and the magazine has a lot of loyal readers.
Finally, my first issue arrived! It was the February 2024 edition. I flipped through the pages and was immediately hooked. The photos were amazing, and they had all these articles about decorating your home with antiques and stuff. There were also some recipes that looked pretty tasty, although I haven’t tried any of them yet.
What I really liked:
- The pictures: They were super high-quality and really showed off the beauty of early American style.
- The variety: It wasn’t just about homes. They had articles on history, crafts, and even food.
- The vibe: It felt really authentic and genuine, like they actually cared about this stuff and not just trying to sell me something.
Overall, I’m really glad I subscribed to “Early American Life.” It’s given me a ton of inspiration for my own home, and I’ve learned a lot about American history and traditions in the process. It is definitely worth checking out. You won’t be disappointed.
