Well, let me tell ya about this “A Nearly Normal Family” show. I watched it, ya know, and I got some things to say.

First off, it’s about this family, see? They look all normal and proper on the outside, but let me tell you, things ain’t always what they seem. Just like them fancy apples at the store, shiny on the outside but sometimes rotten on the inside, you know? This family, they got secrets. Big ones.
The story, it’s like this: There’s this girl, right? She’s a teenager, and she gets herself into some trouble. Real bad trouble. And then, bam! Everything goes haywire for the whole family. The parents, they try to fix things, but it’s like tryin’ to catch smoke with your bare hands. Hard, I tell ya, real hard.
The show, it’s got this mystery feelin’ to it. Keeps ya guessin’, like who done it and why. I like that. Keeps an old lady like me entertained, you know? Better than watchin’ those soaps where everyone’s cryin’ all the time.
- One thing I gotta say, though, is that sometimes it drags on a bit. Like they’re stretchin’ things out too long. I almost fell asleep a couple times, no lie! They need to get to the point faster, like when I’m tellin’ a story. I get right to the good stuff, no messing around.
- And then there’s these side stories, they call ’em “subplots” I think. Well, some of ’em just didn’t make no sense to me. They start somethin’ and then just leave it hangin’. Like my neighbor started building a shed last summer, still ain’t finished it. Irritatin’, that’s what it is.
But, overall, it ain’t too bad. I mean, I watched the whole thing, didn’t I? The actors, they’re pretty good. They make ya believe they’re really this family going through all this mess. Especially the girl, she’s got this way of lookin’ at you, like she knows more than she’s lettin’ on. Reminds me of my granddaughter when she’s up to somethin’.
And the mystery itself, it’s pretty good. Like a puzzle, you gotta put the pieces together. Just when you think you got it figured out, somethin’ else happens, and you gotta start all over again. Keeps you on your toes, that’s for sure.
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ it’s based on a book. I ain’t much of a reader myself, my eyes ain’t what they used to be. But if the book is anything like the show, it must be a real page-turner, as they say.

Would I recommend it? Well, yeah, I guess so. If you like those crime shows where you gotta think a little bit, then you’ll probably like this one. Just don’t expect everything to be wrapped up in a neat little bow at the end. Life ain’t like that, and neither is this show. It’s like my garden, some things grow nice and pretty, and some things just wither up and die, no matter what you do.
So, there you have it. My two cents on “A Nearly Normal Family”. It ain’t perfect, but it’s entertainin’ enough to keep an old lady like me from fallin’ asleep in my chair. And that’s sayin’ somethin’, let me tell ya. Lord knows, I’ve seen enough boring things in my life to last me a lifetime. This show, at least, it kept me guessin’. And sometimes, that’s all you can ask for.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself some tea. All this talkin’ has made my throat dry. And maybe I’ll watch another episode, just to see if I missed anything the first time around. You never know, sometimes you gotta watch things twice to really get the hang of it. Like bakin’ a cake, or learnin’ to drive a car. Some things just take a little extra time and effort.
Anyways, I hope this helped ya make up your mind about watchin’ “A Nearly Normal Family”. It’s worth a look, I reckon. Just don’t expect it to be the best thing you ever seen. It’s good, but it ain’t no miracle worker. It’s just a show, and sometimes, a show is all you need to pass the time.
And one more thing, don’t go thinkin’ this family is somethin’ special. Every family got their secrets, their ups and downs. This one just happens to have theirs played out on the TV screen for everyone to see. But believe me, there’s plenty of drama goin’ on behind closed doors all over the place. You just gotta know where to look.
Alright, I’m done talkin’ now. Go watch the show if you want, don’t watch it if you don’t. It’s your time, your choice. Just don’t come complainin’ to me if you don’t like it. I told you what I thought, and that’s all I can do.
