Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with this show called “Dollhouse” lately, and let me tell you, it’s a wild ride. I remembered someone mentioned it a while back, and I finally got around to watching it. Man, I wish I had watched it sooner! It got me thinking, what other shows are out there that are kind of like “Dollhouse”?
I started digging around, just typing stuff like “shows similar to Dollhouse” into Google, you know, the usual. There are tons of websites that list recommendations, but honestly, a lot of them are pretty generic. I wanted to find someone who actually watched and loved the show and see what else they liked. So I started checking out some forums and online groups where people talk about TV shows.
First, I stumbled upon a forum post where someone was saying “Dollhouse” was their all-time favorite, just like me! They also mentioned a few other shows they loved, like “Humans” and “Skins UK”. I’ve heard of “Skins” before, but “Humans” was new to me. Apparently, it’s Canadian. I made a note to check that out later. I kept scrolling through forums, looking for more clues.
I also searched “watch Dollhouse” and saw a lot of websites that provide streaming services. Then, I used “If you like Dollhouse (2012)” as keywords and found someone comparing it to a show called “Severance”. They even share an actress, which is pretty cool. I haven’t seen “Severance” either, so I added that to my list.
Then I try to search the keyword that “Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse”, and it turned out to be the name of the creator of “Dollhouse”. His name is Joss Whedon, and he created the show back in 2009. It’s about these people who get their personalities wiped and replaced with new ones, like, they’re basically human dolls. The main character is this woman named Echo, played by Eliza Dushku, and she’s awesome. And I also found that this show only has two seasons and was canceled in 2012. Some people said it had mixed reviews and underwhelming ratings, but I still think it’s great!
Next, I searched “Gabby’s Dollhouse”. I thought it might be a spin-off or something, but it turns out it’s a completely different show. It’s an interactive kids’ show on Netflix, created by the same people who made “Blue’s Clues”. Definitely not what I was looking for, but hey, you never know what you’ll find when you’re searching the internet. It premiered on January 5, 2021. I guess that is a pretty new show.

So far, I’ve got a few shows on my list to check out. “Humans” and “Severance” are at the top. I also wrote down “Skins UK” just in case I’m in the mood for something different.
