Okay, so I recently got involved with the Cedric the Entertainer Golf Tournament. Let me tell you, it was quite an experience! It all started when a buddy of mine mentioned it. He knows I’m a huge fan of both golf and Cedric, so he figured it’d be right up my alley.
First thing I did was check out what the event was all about. Turns out, it’s a charity thing, which made me even more interested. Helping a good cause while enjoying some golf? Count me in!

Getting Ready
I dusted off my golf clubs, which, I admit, hadn’t seen much action lately. Practiced my swing in the backyard a few times – mostly hitting air, if I’m honest. But hey, gotta start somewhere, right?
- Bought some new golf balls – figured I’d lose a few (or a lot).
- Made sure my golf shoes still fit – surprisingly, they did!
- Looked up the course online to get a feel for the layout.
The Day Of
Man, I was nervous! Showed up at the course, and it was buzzing. Lots of people, fancy cars, the whole nine yards. I registered, got my goodie bag (which was pretty sweet, I must say), and tried to blend in.
Warmed up at the driving range, alongside some seriously good golfers. Felt a bit intimidated, but I reminded myself I was there for fun and charity. The actual tournament was a scramble format, which was a relief. Meant I could rely on my teammates a bit (thank goodness!).
We teed off, and let’s just say my performance was… mixed. I had a few decent shots, a lot of not-so-decent ones, and one that went straight into the water. But my team was awesome, and we had a blast laughing at our mishaps and cheering each other on.
Cedric Himself!
The highlight, of course, was seeing Cedric the Entertainer. He was cruising around in a golf cart, chatting with people, and being his usual hilarious self. I even managed to get a quick photo with him – totally fanboyed out for a second there!
Overall that day,I participated in that golf tournament,it was a good day for fun and relax!
