Well, let me tell you somethin’ about these movies, just like that “Red Riding Hood” one. I seen a few in my day, I tell ya. This whole “movies like Red Riding Hood” thing, it got me thinkin’. Ain’t nothin’ new under the sun, is there? They all got a little bit of this, a little bit of that.
That Red Riding Hood, she’s a sassy one, ain’t she? Reminds me of that Valerie girl. She’s got that red cloak, and there’s wolves and all that kinda stuff. You know, that Red Riding Hood movie from 2011, that’s the one I’m talkin’ about. That one, it’s got some good parts, I reckon.
Then there’s them other ones. Like that one with the huntsman, and the snow girl. What’s it called again? Oh yeah, “Snow White and the Huntsman.” That’s a movie like Red Riding Hood. It’s got that same kinda feel, you know? Dark and spooky. They got that evil queen in there, too. She’s a mean one, that one is.

- Snow White and the Huntsman – Kinda like Red Riding Hood, but with an evil queen and a huntsman.
- That one about them “Beautiful Creatures” – Witchy stuff.
And then there’s that “Beautiful Creatures.” It’s got some witchy stuff goin’ on. Not my cup of tea, really, but some folks like it. I seen it on the TV the other day. It’s one of them movies like Red Riding Hood 2011, I guess. It’s got that young love, and some magic. Lots of hocus pocus, if you ask me.
You know, they make a lot of these movies. There are a bunch of ’em, I reckon more than 80 movies similar to Red Riding Hood. Too many to keep track of, really. All them stories, they get all mixed up in my head. But they all got that same kinda thing, you know? That love story, and some danger. Sometimes there’s monsters, sometimes there’s just plain old mean people.
They put ’em on that Netflix thing, and that Amazon thing. My grandkids, they watch ’em all the time. They tell me, “Grandma, you gotta watch this!” But I say, “I seen it all before, honey.”
That one with the red cloak, that Valerie girl, that was somethin’, I tell ya. She’s got that fella, what’s his name… Oh, I can’t remember. But he was a good looker, that’s for sure. And there was another one, too. All them boys, fightin’ over her. Just like in real life, I suppose. That’s why it is a good one of the movies like Red Riding Hood.
Then that other movie, with that Bella girl, and that sparkly vampire. “Twilight”, that’s it! Folks say that if you like “Twilight” then you are gonna like “Red Riding Hood” too. It is because that woman, that Catherine woman, she made ’em both. I don’t know nothin’ about that. I just know that both got that love story and the danger.
I seen that other one, too. That “Red Riding Hood from 2006“. That one’s got that Henry fella in it. He’s a good looker, too. They’re all good lookers, these young folks in the movies. That one, it’s about a grandma, tellin’ the story to her granddaughter. And that girl, she’d rather be at the mall. Kids these days, I tell ya.
They got good actors in these things. That one fella, Gary somethin’. He’s real good. He was in that Red Riding Hood movie. They act real good, even if the stories are kinda silly sometimes.
If you like one, you’ll probably like the others. They are all cut from the same cloth, these Red Riding Hood like movies. Love, and danger, and some scary stuff. That’s what folks like, I guess.
So there you have it. That’s all I know about them movies. You watch ’em if you want to. Me, I think I’ll just stick to my stories.
