Alright, let’s gab about this… this metal wall art thingy, the “tree of life.” I ain’t no fancy decorator, mind you, but I seen some pretty things in my day, and this… well, it catches the eye, that’s for sure.
First off, what IS this “tree of life” anyways? Sounds kinda highfalutin, don’t it? Folks say it’s somethin’ important, somethin’ ’bout heaven and earth and all that. Like a big ol’ family tree, I reckon, connectin’ everything together. There’s even a famous fella, Gustav… Klimt, I think his name was, painted a big picture of it. So, it must be somethin’ special, right?

Now, these metal ones… they come in all sorts. I seen ’em gold, like somethin’ a king would have, and some with all sorts of colored leaves. Pretty as a peacock, some of ‘em. They got birds on ’em sometimes, little metal birdies sittin’ on branches. Makes you think of spring, you know? When the birds come back and everything starts growin’ again.
And the sizes! My goodness, they got big ones, the kind that take up a whole wall, and little ones, just the right size to hang over the sofa. They call ’em “plaques” sometimes, these metal things. Sounds fancy, but it’s just a picture made outta metal, far as I can tell.
I seen some that are black, plain and simple, and some that are all twisty and turny, like a real tree after a big wind. They say they’re “handcrafted,” which means somebody actually made it with their own two hands, not some machine in a factory. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Someone puttin’ their time and effort into makin’ somethin’ beautiful.
- You can hang ’em in your livin’ room, of course.
- Put ’em in the kitchen, brighten up the place.
- Even seen folks puttin’ ’em in the bathroom. Don’t know ’bout that, myself. Seems kinda damp for metal, but hey, to each their own.
They got these “family tree” ones, too. With little spots for pictures, maybe. So you can put your family’s faces on the tree of life. That’s kinda sweet, I think. Reminds you of where you come from, who your people are.
And they ain’t just for inside the house, neither. Some folks put ’em outside, on the porch or the patio. Guess they figure the tree of life belongs out in nature, where real trees grow. Makes sense, I suppose.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ you gotta go out and buy one of these things. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to spruce up your walls, somethin’ that ain’t just another picture frame or a dusty old clock, well, this metal tree of life thing might be just the ticket. It’s pretty, it’s got meanin’, and it’s somethin’ a little bit different. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it?

Where to get ’em? Well, I seen ’em in stores, them big box stores, and in little shops, too. And you can always get ’em online, I guess. Just gotta search for “metal tree wall art” or somethin’ like that. They’ll pop right up.
So, there you have it. My two cents on this metal tree of life business. Like I said, I ain’t no expert, but I know what I like. And I reckon these things are kinda nice.
