Alright, so you’re lookin’ for movies like that “P.S. I Love You,” huh? That one where the fella kicks the bucket and leaves letters for his wife? Yeah, I saw that one. Made me cry a bit, not gonna lie. My old man, he wasn’t much for writin’ letters, but he did leave me a whole lotta firewood before he went. That was his way of sayin’ “I love you,” I guess. Anyways, back to them movies. Let me tell ya, there’s a whole bunch out there that’ll make you sniffle and sigh.
If you liked that “P.S. I Love You,” you might like some others, ya know? Them movie folks, they love makin’ these tearjerkers. One they talk about a lot is “The Notebook.” Never seen it myself, but I heard it’s about a couple that loves each other a whole heck of a lot, through thick and thin. Sounds kinda like my cousin Martha and her fella, always arguin’ but stickin’ together like glue.

Then there’s that “Titanic” movie. Everyone and their grandma saw that one. Big boat, fancy folks, and then, bam! Iceberg. Sad, real sad. But hey, at least them two lovebirds got to dance a little before everything went south. Kinda makes you think, don’t it? Life’s short, gotta grab the good times when you can.
Another one they say is good is “When Harry Met Sally.” That one’s about friends turnin’ into lovers. Happens all the time, I tell ya. Just look at old Mrs. Henderson down the road, married her best friend after her first husband passed. Said it was the best thing she ever did. So, yeah, that movie, it’s probably got some truth to it.
- Movies like “P.S. I Love You” ain’t hard to find:
- “The Notebook” – Big love story, lots of drama.
- “Titanic” – You know this one. Big boat, big tragedy, big romance.
- “When Harry Met Sally” – Friends turnin’ into lovers. Sweet and funny.
- “Sleepless in Seattle” – Another one about folks finding love in unexpected places.
- “Pretty Woman” – Rich fella, girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Classic story.
- “Love Actually” – All sorts of different love stories all tangled up together. A real heart warmer, they say.
Then you got “Sleepless in Seattle,” somethin’ about a fella on the radio and a woman who hears him and falls in love. Radio, can you believe it? Nowadays, everyone’s got their faces stuck in them phones. But back in the day, radio was a big deal. And love, well, love always finds a way, even through the airwaves.
And “Pretty Woman”? That’s a fairy tale, right? Rich fella meets a girl who ain’t so rich, and they fall head over heels. It ain’t real life, but it’s fun to watch. We all need a little dreamin’ now and then, don’t we?
Don’t forget “Love Actually,” that one’s got a whole bunch of stories all mixed together. All different kinds of love, too. Young love, old love, happy love, sad love. It’s like a buffet of emotions. You take what you like, and you leave the rest.
There’s also them foreign films, you know? Heard tell of one called “Belle de Jour,” French, I think. About a housewife who, well, let’s just say she has a secret life. Not exactly like “P.S. I Love You,” but it’s about love and desire and all that complicated stuff. Makes you think about what goes on behind closed doors, ya know?

And if you’re lookin’ for more, just go on the internet. Them young folks are always makin’ lists of things. Just type in “movies like P.S. I Love You” and you’ll get a whole mess of ’em. Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, they all got ’em. You could spend a whole week just watchin’ movies and cryin’ your eyes out. Not that I do that, mind you. I got chores to do.
So, there you have it. A whole bunch of movies to keep you busy. Grab some popcorn, a box of tissues, and settle in. And don’t worry if you cry. Sometimes a good cry is just what you need. Just like sometimes, a good load of firewood is all you need to feel loved. It’s the little things, ain’t it?
