Alright, folks, let me tell you about this little adventure I had the other night. The fam and I decided to check out this drive-through Christmas lights thing down at Bridge Point Farms. I heard it was the first of its kind in Acadiana, so, you know, had to see what the fuss was all about.
Getting There
First off, finding the place was pretty straightforward. It’s at 115 Enterprise Blvd., just plug that into your GPS and you’re golden. We loaded up the car, got the kids all bundled up, and made sure we had some hot cocoa in travel mugs. It’s not Christmas without hot cocoa, right?

Driving Through
We got there and, let me tell you, it was pretty neat. You just drive your car right through, and there are lights everywhere. I mean, they had 24 acres of this place decked out. We’re talking lights on the trees, lights forming tunnels, and all sorts of Christmas displays.
- The Characters: There were these folks dressed up as Christmas characters, waving at everyone as we drove by. The kids loved this part. They were shouting and waving back like they were meeting Santa himself.
- The Lights: Seriously, the sheer amount of lights was impressive. They had them synchronized to music, too. You tune your car radio to a certain station, and the lights dance along. Pretty cool, huh?
- The Atmosphere: It was just a really nice, festive vibe. Everyone was in good spirits, lots of families, and it really got us into the Christmas mood.
Wrapping Up
All in all, it was a fun experience. I heard it was a thing called “Christmas at Bridgepoint” by Bridge Point Farms. If you’re in the Lafayette area and looking for something to do with the family, I’d say it’s worth checking out. It’s a simple thing, but sometimes those simple things are what make the holidays special, you know?
So, yeah, that was our little Christmas lights adventure. Hope you guys get a chance to see some pretty lights this season, too!
