Alright, let’s talk about this… uh… outdoor animal print fabric stuff. You know, the kind with the spots and stripes and all that. I ain’t no fancy decorator or nothin’, but I know what I like, and I like me some wild-lookin’ things.
First off, what kinda animals we talkin’ about here? Well, there’s them leopard prints, real popular, I guess. Then you got your tiger stripes, all orange and black and fierce-lookin’. And zebras, can’t forget them black and white stripes, kinda dizzying if you stare too long. Oh, and them cheetahs, kinda like leopards but with smaller spots, I think. Giraffes too, with their big ol’ blotches, and cows, even! Yeah, black and white cow spots, who knew? There’s even jaguars and crocodiles, if you wanna get real fancy.
Now, if you’re gonna put this fabric stuff outside, you gotta make sure it’s tough. I mean, it ain’t no good if it fades the first time the sun shines on it, right? So, you gotta look for that “fade resistant” thing they talk about. And what about rain? Gotta make sure it don’t soak up water like a sponge. They call it “water-repellent” or somethin’. It’s gotta be able to handle the weather, you know? Sun, rain, wind, the whole shebang.

You can use it to make cushion for your rocking chair, make your old bones feel a bit better when you are taking a break.
But listen here, not all animal print fabric is the same. Some of it’s made for indoors, and that ain’t gonna hold up outside. It might look nice and feel soft, but it’ll fade and get all ratty-lookin’ real quick. You gotta get the stuff that’s made for the outdoors, the tough stuff. They call it “performance fabric” sometimes, or “outdoor fabric.” It’s supposed to be stronger, last longer, you know?
And where do you find this stuff? Well, I ain’t been to no fancy stores lately, but I reckon you can find it online. Just type in “outdoor animal print fabric” on that computer thingy, and you’ll see all sorts of options. Just make sure you read the descriptions good, so you know what you’re gettin’. Look for that “fade resistant” and “water-repellent” stuff I told you about. And make sure to see if it can handle the rubbin’ and scrubbin’, you know, if you gotta clean it up after a spill or somethin’. They call it “rub count” or “stain resistant“, real fancy words for just plain tough. You can find all kinds of prints, too. Like parrots, flamingos, monkeys, if you want somethin’ a little different. Or just stick with the classics, the leopards and tigers and zebras. It’s all up to you, really.

Nothin’ worse than runnin’ out in the middle of a project, then you gotta go back and buy more, and hope it’s the same color and all. Measure twice, cut once, that’s what my old man always said. And if you wanna be really fancy you can find fabric that is made out of linen, cotton and silk, so you can make your outdoor space like them rich people’s homes.
