This here tree of life purse, you see them everywhere these days. I tell ya, back in my day, we just had plain old bags. But these, they got that fancy tree all over ’em. What’s it all about, anyway? I’ll tell ya what I think it’s about.
So, you wanna get yourself one of these tree of life purses, huh? Well, there’s a whole bunch of ’em out there. Big ones, small ones, all kinds of colors. Some are made of that there leather, you know, the kind that smells like a new saddle. Others are made of that, uh, that cloth stuff. Canvas, they call it. Feels kinda rough, but it’s strong, I reckon.
First thing you gotta think about is what you gonna put in it. If you’re like me, you got your whole life in your purse. Wallet, keys, that little hankie your granddaughter made you, maybe a hard candy or two. So you need one that’s big enough, you see? Not too big, though, or you’ll be lugging it around like a sack of potatoes. I saw one just made by leather, very big. Can put a lot of things. I like big tree of life purse.

And then there’s the color. Lord have mercy, the colors! Bright ones, dark ones, some with stripes, some with, uh, what do they call it? Boho? Sounds like a hobo to me, but whatever. I saw a green one once, with that tree all bright and colorful. Reminded me of that tree in my backyard, the one the squirrels are always running up and down. My son’s wife told me there are green tree of life purse. So many colors!
They got these little ones, too. Makeup bags, they call ’em. Now, I don’t wear much makeup these days, just a little powder on Sundays. But I guess if you’re young and like that sort of thing, they’re handy. Little tree on ’em, just like the big ones. I guess you put your, uh, your lipstick and your, uh, that black stuff you put on your eyes in there. My old eyes can not see that black thing.
Now, I saw some that had these, uh, these metal things on ’em. Shiny, like a new penny. Some folks like that, I guess. Me, I prefer something plain. Less likely to get snatched, you know? And you don’t want something that’s gonna clash with your skin. I’m old, so my skin, it’s, well, you know. Wrinkled. Like an old apple that’s been sitting out too long. So I gotta be careful what I choose. I like the color just like my skin.
And let me tell you, some of these tree of life purses, they cost a pretty penny. I saw one, it was made of that real fancy leather, you know, the kind they make boots out of. It was more than I paid for my first cow! Can you believe that? For a purse! But I guess some folks, they got money to burn. If you want a good one, you should save money.

If you are young, you may like those called “crossbody”. I don’t know what it means. But I heard from my granddaughter, it is good for festivals or beach. I think it may be good. I never go to beach. But I think if you are going to festivals or beach, choose a tree of life purse may be good.
I heard from sombody, if you want to plant a tree, you need to find a good place. Not too close, not too far. If you plant too close, it will not grow well. If too far, also not good. The same as the tree of life purse. You need to choose one that not too big, not too small. Just fit you.
And the soil, you gotta have good soil. Not too wet, not too dry. Just like your purse, you don’t want it to be too heavy, or too light. You want it to be just right. And you gotta take care of it, you know? Don’t just throw it around. Treat it nice, and it’ll last you a long time. Just like that tree in my backyard. It’s been there for years, and it’s still going strong. It is a big tree, and it’s fruit is good.
So, there you have it. That’s what I think about these tree of life purses. They’re everywhere. And they are all different. Just choose one you like. They’re just bags, really.
