Alright, so I saw this interesting topic floating around – movies that make people want to be fathers. I thought, “Hey, I’ve seen a few of those! Let’s dig into this.” So, I started by, well, just thinking.
I brainstormed a list of movies off the top of my head that gave me that warm, fuzzy, “dad-life” feeling. You know, the ones where the dads are just… awesome. Or maybe they start out rough but become awesome. Those count too.

My Movie-Remembering Process
- First, I jotted down every movie title I could remember. Just a big, messy list.
- Then, I went through the list and thought about each movie. Did it really make me think about fatherhood? Or was it just a good movie with a dad in it? There’s a difference!
- I started googling. Honestly, my memory isn’t perfect. So, I used Google to remind myself of plot points and specific scenes. I typed in things like “[movie title] fatherhood” or “[movie title] best dad scenes.”
- I found some interesting articles and lists online. Other people had thought about this too! I skimmed through them, not to copy, but to see if I’d missed any obvious movies.
- I narrowed it down the movies I remembered to my top few personal.
I watched some clips on, you know, that video site. Just to get the feels again. It’s one thing to remember a movie, it’s another to see those emotional scenes again.
Finally, I put together my own little “analysis.” Why did these movies make me, and maybe other people, think about wanting to be a dad? What was it about those characters, those stories?
It was a fun little project, totally informal. It’s not like I’m writing a film studies paper or anything. Just exploring an interesting idea and sharing my thoughts.
I finally managed to make my personl movie list.
