Well, hello there, young folks! Let me tell ya ’bout this here… uh… “buttercup cosmetics.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like somethin’ them city girls would use. But from what I hear, it ain’t just for them, no sirree.
First off, they got this lip stuff, lip gloss they call it. Now, I ain’t used much of that in my day, but the young’uns, they seem to like it. This here buttercup stuff, they say it’s “moisturizin’.” That just means it keeps your lips from gettin’ all chapped and dry, like they do in the winter wind. And get this, it ain’t sticky! I remember back in the day, some of that lip stuff was so sticky, felt like you had glue on your mouth. This ain’t like that, they say. Smooth as butter, they say.
And another thing, this here buttercup stuff, it’s “vegan.” Now, I ain’t quite sure what that means, somethin’ about not usin’ animal stuff, I reckon. But if it makes the young’uns happy, then I guess it’s alright. They also say it’s “non-sticky,” like I said before, which is a good thing, ’cause nobody wants sticky lips, ‘cept maybe a fly tryin’ to land.
Oh, and they got this “Beautiful to Me” gloss collection. Sounds right pretty, don’t it? They say when you buy somethin’ from that collection, you get somethin’ “uniquely beautiful.” Now, I ain’t sure what that means either, but it sounds like you get somethin’ special, somethin’ just for you. Maybe it’s a different color, or a different smell, or maybe it just makes you feel purdy. Who knows?
And get this, they give you FREE SHIPPING! That’s right, free! You don’t gotta pay nothin’ extra to get it to your door. But you gotta spend more than $25, though. That’s a lot of money, but I guess if you’re buyin’ all that lip stuff, it adds up quick. They say lip gloss is their specialty, but they got other “beauty products” too. Makeup, they call it. Powders and paints and whatnot. I ain’t never used much of that myself, but the young’uns, they seem to like it.
They got a whole makeup collection, they call it “curated”. Sounds fancy, like they picked out all the good stuff just for you. I guess that’s good, saves you from havin’ to dig through a bunch of junk to find somethin’ you like. And they probably got all sorts of colors, too. Reds and pinks and purples and all sorts of shades I ain’t never even heard of. They probably got somethin’ for every skin tone, too, from pale as snow to dark as night.

So, there you have it. That’s what I know about this here “buttercup cosmetics.” Sounds like good stuff, if you’re into that sort of thing. Me? I’m happy with a little bit of Vaseline on my lips and a smile on my face. But if you wanna try this fancy stuff, go ahead. Just don’t go spendin’ all your money on it, you hear? There’s more important things in life than pretty lips.
But, I reckon it’s nice to feel purdy every now and again. And if a little bit of lip gloss and some makeup makes a young gal feel good about herself, then I guess there ain’t no harm in it. Just remember, true beauty comes from the inside, not from a jar or a tube. But hey, a little bit of help on the outside never hurt nobody, I suppose.
