Okay, so I was digging around the internet, trying to find out if Lily Tomlin has ever gone under the knife, you know, cosmetic surgery stuff. It’s a slow news day, and I got curious. So, I started with a simple search.
First, I just typed “has Lily Tomlin had cosmetic surgery” into the search bar. A bunch of results popped up, but nothing concrete. Mostly gossip and speculation, which is par for the course, I guess.
Then, I saw something about her and Jane Fonda, you know, her co-star from “Grace and Frankie”. They’ve been friends forever, it seems. There was this one interview where they were talking, and the topic of how long they’ve known each other came up.
- I watched a few clips of interviews with Tomlin and Fonda. In one, the interviewer asked how long they’d known each other. And, I kid you not, Tomlin made a joke about it being before Fonda’s first facelift! Can you believe it? Right there, live on TV!
- Fonda’s reaction was priceless. She just kind of laughed it off, but you could tell she wasn’t thrilled. I mean, who would be? It’s a pretty personal thing to call someone out on, especially in front of millions of viewers.
- I found a few articles about the whole thing. Some were defending Tomlin, saying it was just a joke, and others were calling her out for being rude. Seems to have caused a little bit of drama at the time. I even saw one headline that said, “Megyn Kelly Asked Jane Fonda, 79.” They were trying to make it out to be even bigger, I bet.
So, after all that, what did I actually find out about Tomlin and plastic surgery? Well, not much, to be honest. It seems like she hasn’t publicly said anything about it. All I could get was her snarky reply that threw shade at Fonda’s plastic surgery. The whole thing about her making a facelift joke about Fonda is pretty much all I found that was even remotely close to an answer.
But hey, it was an interesting little rabbit hole to go down. And it definitely made me chuckle a few times. I guess some things are just meant to remain a mystery. Maybe she has, maybe she hasn’t. Who knows? It’s her business, after all.
