Alright, let’s talk about this Oceanside thing, you know, the one they call “Taste of Oceanside.” I heard folks chatterin’ about it, so I figured I’d tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy words, just plain talk, like we’re sittin’ on the porch swing, sippin’ sweet tea.
First off, they had this thing goin’ on in 2023, just like they done before. Seems like folks like it, ’cause they keep doin’ it. They had tickets and all, and if you were quick, you could get ’em cheaper before a Monday. I don’t rightly remember which Monday, but that’s how they do things, always tryin’ to get you to buy early.
Now, this Oceanside place, it weren’t always so big. Back in the day, some fella named Myers, he come and settled on the land. That was way back in 1882. Then, the government, they give him some papers for it in 1883. It weren’t no big city then, just a piece of land. Folks started livin’ there, and it grew, little by little. More folks came, more houses, more businesses. Just like a weed patch, it kept spreadin’. Now, it’s a big place, so they say. Lots of folks wanna live by the water, I guess.
Anyways, back to this “Taste of Oceanside” thing. They had it on September 30th, from 5 to 7 in the evenin’. Not a whole lot of time, if you ask me. But I guess it’s enough for folks to get a taste of whatever they got there. Food, I reckon. Maybe some music too. They like to have music at these things, makes folks happy, or so they say.
- They had tickets.
- They sold out of regular tickets!
- You could get cheaper tickets if you bought ’em early.
- It was on September 30th, in the evening.
I heard they sold out of the regular tickets! Can you believe it? Folks must really like this “Taste” thing. But they still had some fancy tickets, VIP they called ’em. Them’s the expensive ones, for the folks who want somethin’ extra special. I don’t know what’s so special about ’em, probably just cost more money. That’s how they do things, make you pay more for the same thing, just with a different name.
I tell you what, it seems like this Oceanside place is doin’ alright. People movin’ in, businesses openin’ up, and they got these fancy events like the “Taste of Oceanside.” Good for them, I guess. As long as they ain’t causin’ no trouble, let ’em have their fun. Me, I’m happy right here, watchin’ the birds and sippin’ my tea. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do, maybe you wanna check out this Oceanside thing next year. Just be ready to buy your tickets early, ’cause they go fast, real fast.
So that’s the story, as far as I know it. Nothin’ fancy, just the plain truth, the way I see it. If you wanna know more, you’ll have to go ask somebody else. I’m done talkin’ for now. Time for another glass of tea.
This Oceanside, sounds like a busy place. I remember when things were slower, but times change, I guess. Can’t stop progress, even if you wanted to. They got their “Taste of Oceanside,” and we got our peace and quiet. To each their own, that’s what I say.
