Alright, so you’re lookin’ for this “Wise Cosmetics” stuff, huh? Lemme tell ya, I ain’t no fancy city gal, but I know a thing or two about lookin’ good, even if it’s just for church on Sundays. Now, this Wise stuff, I heard it’s supposed to be pretty good, makes ya look younger, less tired. Lord knows I could use some of that!
First thing’s first, where to find it? Well, I ain’t got no computer or nothin’, but my grandbaby, she showed me this thing called the “internet.” Said I could find anything on it. So, I had her look up this “Wise Cosmetics” for me. Took her a while, peckin’ away at that little screen, but she found somethin’.
Said there’s a place called “Wise Beauty Supply” over on Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte. That’s a ways from here, but if it’s good stuff, might be worth the trip. Grandbaby said the address is 2121 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28216. She even wrote it down for me, big and clear, so I wouldn’t lose it. Bless her heart.

Now, I ain’t got a car, so I’d have to get my son to drive me. He’s always busy, but he loves his old mama, so I reckon he’d do it. ‘Sides, I could bake him that apple pie he likes. That always gets him to do what I want.
Grandbaby also said you can call ’em. Said the number is somethin’ like (704) 392-6… She couldn’t remember the rest, but said I could find it on that “Cylex” thing. Sounded like gibberish to me, but she seemed to know what she was talkin’ about. So, if you’re like me and don’t wanna drive all the way out there without knowin’ if they got what you want, you might wanna call first.
Now, about the “Wise Cosmetics” itself. I heard it’s got all sorts of things. Creams, powders, lipsticks… the whole shebang. I ain’t never used much makeup, just a little powder and lipstick for special occasions. But this Wise stuff, they say it’s different. They say it’s got special things in it that make your skin look better. I dunno, sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but folks swear by it.
My neighbor, Agnes, she uses somethin’ like it. She’s older than me, but you wouldn’t know it lookin’ at her. Her skin is smooth as a baby’s bottom. She told me it’s all about takin’ care of yourself, eatin’ right, gettin’ enough sleep, and usin’ good products on your skin. Maybe she’s right. I ain’t gettin’ any younger, that’s for sure.
So, I’m thinkin’ ’bout tryin’ this Wise stuff. Maybe it’ll help me look a little less like an old prune. And if it don’t, well, at least I can say I tried. I ain’t got nothin’ to lose, ‘cept a few wrinkles and maybe a few dollars. But hey, lookin’ good is important, even when you’re as old as dirt like me.
Grandbaby showed me some pictures too. The bottles and jars look real fancy. Shiny and sparkly. Makes me wonder if it’s worth all the fuss. But then I think about Agnes and her smooth skin, and I figure, what the heck, why not? Maybe this “Wise Cosmetics” is the secret to lookin’ young, or at least lookin’ a little less old.
